By the next morning, I was shuffled back into the routine. Liam came up to me at lunch while I sat beside Louis, our hands clasped together.
"I want to apologize for making you uncomfortable, Cassidy." The man nervously stated. "I didn't mean to come off overly-friendly, I've been really missing Maya the last couple of weeks and you just remind me so much of her, I got carried away."
"I'm sorry I punched you." I offered an awkward smile.
"I'm sorry you hurt your hand punching me." He chuckled, sitting down at the table across from Louis and I. "I'd love for you to meet Maya, I think you'd get along great."
"I'd love to meet her, Liam." I smiled genuinely, Louis squeezing my hand in support.
"Her plane landed an hour ago at Heathrow, she's coming for the show tonight along with our families. She should be here any minute."
As if her ears were burning, a young, skinny, well-dressed model strutted into the dining area with Paul who seemed to be escorting her. "Li!" The young girl ran up to Liam in her heals and caught him in a hug when he stood up to greet her. He brought her into a passionate kiss, only interrupted by Louis clearing his throat.
"Sorry." She blushed. "Oh my goodness, you're Cassidy Harris!" She excitedly bounded over to me, surprising me in a hug. "I love Fight Song!" She pulled away, a big smile as she found her way back to Liam.
"Oh, thanks." I was surprised that she didn't just know me as Louis' girlfriend. She actually knew my music. "It's nice to meet you, Maya."
"Great to see you, Maya." Louis chirped, putting his arms around my waist and pulling me into his lap. "Liam's been missing you."
"Aw! I heard you guys were dating! You're so cute together!" Her words made me blush, moving to cuddle closer into Louis' chest. The scent of his cologne mixing with his natural musk was comforting.
"Thanks," Louis smirked before placing a quick kiss to my exposed neck. "She is quite adorable, isn't she?" A hot blush rushed up my entire body at his compliment.
"Tomlinson, Payne, we need you for recording!" Kyle, one of the managers for the album recording called into the dining area.
I frowned as Louis moved me off of his lap, squeezing my hand before heading over to the make-shift recording studio. Liam groaned in frustration at having to leave his girlfriend so soon, placing a kiss on Maya's lips before jogging over to Kyle to join the other boys.
Maya took a seat across from me at the table. "It's so great to see him again. I'm jealous that you get to travel around with the boys and see them every day. I haven't gotten to know the others as much as I'd like to, but they seem great."
"They are great." I smiled fondly, watching Liam and Louis leave the room. "How long have you and Liam been together?"
One Direction recorded their new album for three hours before they were allowed a real break, but by then I had been carted away from Maya and into my own rehearsal and sound check. We had talked for hours about the boys and growing up listening to their music. I found out that she was a year younger than me, and I silently wondered why the interviewers yesterday hadn't brought up Maya and Liam's age difference when they brought up Louis' and mine. The age gaps were nearly identical.
By six in the evening, I had eaten dinner with my broken band. For tonight, One Direction's bassist Sandy Beales would fill Alfie's spot in my band. MB&E was searching desperately through their known bassists for someone available for the rest of the tour. He had rehearsed with us all afternoon. My hair and makeup were being finished by April and the boys were all just beginning to get dressed.
