After being discharged, Indigo is taken home by Andre and he starts assembling the crib and other nursery furniture. "I love the paint job" she says, lowering herself into the rocker in the corner. Andre smiles and works diligently until the nursery is assembled and arranged perfectly.
Indigo cooks lunch for herself and Andre and they eat in a comfortable silence before Andre leaves for patrol. Indigo does laundry, folding the baby clothes and organizing them into the dresser and closet. She sits down in the rocker and closes her eyes, resting her hand over her swollen belly. "Everything will be okay" she says. Indigo settles into her new routine of waking up, eating breakfast, working in her garden, taking a nap, quilting for a few hours, attending the pack dinner, and then going to bed. As the days pass slowly, her energy begins to dwindle slowly and she spends less time outside and more time inside. Andre and Harrison worry constantly and try to get her outside as often as possible.
A few weeks later, Harrison calls a pack meeting and Andre leaves once everyone is seated to get Indigo. He wraps her in a quilt and carries her to the pack house where he sets her in an arm chair and squeezes her thin shoulder gently. As Harrison starts to talk, Indigo's wolf begins to pace slowly, making Indigo anxious. Excited whispers from the pack make Indigo snap back to reality as Andre gently shakes her. "You okay? You zoned out" he asks worriedly? Indigo murmurs a quiet response and Andre picks her up to take her home. "The King is coming to inspect and visit our pack tomorrow" explains Andre.
Indigo weakly nods before sleep pulls her under as Andre's wolf whines lowly. Andre tucks Indigo into bed, sitting beside her so she's not alone when she wakes up. Indigo sleeps late into the afternoon and only wakes up when the Pack Doctor props her up and increases her oxygen. "Hey Indy? Can you try and stay awake for me? I need to have a look at the little one. There ya go, it wont take long" coaxes the Doctor, rubbing Indy's chest to keep her semi awake. Andre takes over as the Doctor preps his ultrasound and gets to work. "You were right Beta...it won't be long. Any day now. Hey Indy sweetie" calls the Pack Doctor, noticing how pale Indy has gotten. Indy doesn't respond and her eyes roll back in her head. "Shit! She isn't breathing" curses the Doctor, dropping Indy so she lays flat. He has Andre start CPR while he runs for an defibrillator. Seconds later, Indy is being shocked to try and restart her heart. Harrison bursts in seconds later, followed by the King and his Beta. "What...happened" Harrison demands, his wolf surfacing. "Her heart stopped during the exam. I'm trying to restart it, but this may be it sir...she may not come back" pants the Doctor, shocking Indigo again. Silence ensues as five men watch the monitor, waiting to see a pulse.
