Parang nabunutan ng tinik sa lalamunan si Wendy nang marinig ang sagot ni Serena. Lubos siyang kinabahan sa pag-aakalang masisira ang kanyang mga plano.

Serena secretly sneered when she saw the relieved expression of Wendy.

Inabot ni Wendy ang mga kamay ni Serena at pinagsalikop ang kanilang mga palad. "You don't need to thank me Rina, we're best friends! Sino pa bang magtutulungan kundi tayo-tayo lang din."

Sabay na tumayo ang dalawa sa kinauupuan at nagyakapan. Punung-puno ng nagbabadyang luha sa mata si Wendy nang maghiwalay na sila, tila ba sobrang lungkot niya sa pag-alis ng kaibigan.

Serena internally scoffed on the acting of Wendy. She felt like slapping herself at that moment. Just how foolish is she to not see how two-faced this so called best friend of hers was in the past?

Tumango lamang ito bilang sagot. "Be safe, Rina."

Dala ang bag na bigay ni Wendy, naglakad na palabas ng restaurant si Serena.

Habang naglalakad palayo, hindi rin maiwasan ni Serena na mapangisi. Nang may madaanang basurahan, walang pag-aalinlangan niyang inihagis sa loob niyon ang bag na bigay ni Wendy.

Pinaniwala siya ng mga ito sa kanilang kasinungalingan. She was so ashamed for trusting and loving those snakes wholeheartedly.

Bago siya mamatay nalaman niya na depression pala ang ikinamatay ng kanyang ina. Her mother caught her father and her stepmother having an affair.
