chapter 5

Delilah's pov (logan ^)

Me and Kaden talked for two hours, it's been so long since we both talked. He is busy with his company and he spends the rest of his time with reyna and his son logan.

Logan Eric adler is my two years old nephew, he is just so cute with his brown hair and black eyes just like his dad. But it's been 2 months since I saw him Leila doesn't like me getting close with their child, even though I am his godmother.

Kadenn assured me everything will be alright, and promised to bring logan next time . After talking I went back to my office and stayed late doing all the works to keep my mind of things. It's was 10pm everyone left except me, I sighed and looked out of the glass which has a beautiful view of the city.

Savannah and Jennifer will be in the concert now, but Tomorrow I have to tell them about this marriage arrangement. I don't know how they will react but i do know there will be lot of screaming. My phone pinged with a message seeing it was from my father

Dad: where are you? I need to talk with you.

Me: In the office, will be home in 30 minutes.

Dad: ok

I sighed took my bag, phone and left my cabin after locking it and went home, I stepped into the living room where my father and mother was sitting and drinking wine. They looked at me and my father gestured me to sit.

He the cleared his throat and said "delilah I am sorry for doing this to you, but this is for your own good believe me . Ezra is a great man" I scoffed and said "you're not doing this for my own good, it is for the company dad. I don't even know anything about him other than he is the CEO of Huss corporations" .

"Is this the thing you wanted to talk to me about?" I asked. His eyes left mine and looked at mother who was silent this whole time, he sighed and said "The engagement party is this Friday. I want you to be prepared".

My eyes widened hearing this "No all this is happening too fast I need more time" which I don't have, I just stood up and started walking upstairs when my father's voice stopped me" Nothing is going to stop this wedding , be ready for Friday" I just entered my room and fell on the bed and cried.

I don't want to be tied down in an loveless marriage. I was always the kind of person who reads numerous romance novels and wonder when will this happen to me. I guess I'll never have someone who will love me.

I cried myself to sleep, which is not new to me nowadays.

The next day....

I woke up early after getting ready I messaged sav and jen to meet me at dona's. And went down to the kitchen and made myself a coffee when my mother entered the kitchen and started making her tea.

After drinking my coffee I placed the mug on the sink and washed it, I was about to leave kitchen when my mom spoke "I know you are mad at me and your dad, but believe this sweetie we are doing this for your own good" .

"We know you are mad at us but please do not ignore us" I sighed and turned towards her and said "mother this is all too much for me , I don't want this marriage. For God sake it's totally a business deal. What do you expect me to do?"

"I am sorry sweetie!" She said with tears in her eyes, I don't like to see my mom crying I went near her and wrapped my arms around and gave her a hug which she returned. I love you sweetie! She said "I love you too mom" I wispered back.

After our little moment I went to dona's and looked at our usual place where Savannah and Jennifer were sitting and sipping their drinks. I plopped down on the chair when sav looked at me and asked "what happened?" I looked at them and said"I am getting married"

"Oh yeah I am a mermaid" said Savannah her voice full of sarcasm. Jen laughed and said "stop playing around del".

I shake my head and looked at them ,their face turned serious looking at my tear filled eyes "wait are you serious?" Asked jen I nodded my head and told them about the deal, engagement party, the collaboration with Huss, and that I have to. Marry the CEO of Huss corp. to maintain frienship between two families.

"whaaaatttt?" They both shouted, which earned them a few glares around the cafe they quickly apologized and whisper shouted "whaaat? You are marrying Ezra Huss the most talented, hottest and sexiest man on this planet aaaaah the girls squealed. And you're engagement party is on this Friday".

"Wow I can't believe you're getting married", I scoffed and said "neither am I".

Sav stared at me with a worried expression on her face and took a hold of my hand and asked "is there anything which can be done to stop this wedding?" I shake my head saying "no" .

"Did your dad say anything about why he is doing this?" I scoffed "apparently for my own good!"

"Are you fine with this?"
"Do I have any other choice?" I answered her question with a question.

When she said "No del, No you don't have any choice, but we will be there with you!" this came from jen, I looked at them and thanked the God for having them in my life.

"Now one more question" said sav "what do you think of him?" She asks "I don't know sav , I don't even know anything besides his name and he is the CEO of his company, he was so cold and didn't talk."

"It's ok you just met him once, let's see what the life has got for you! But now we are going shopping you need a dress which will make him drool on the engagement party" said Jennifer. I rolled my eyes at her and prepared myself for the shopping, these girls gets crazy while shopping.

So how was the concert? I asked them that started our conversation for the whole day.
