Delilah's pov ( outfit^)
We both stepped into the office, Ezra's face was so cold and serious, his green eyes hard there is no trace of the amusing soft eyes I saw in the morning. I looked around to see everyone stopped their work and staring at us wide eyed as if they can't believe that we are here.
Some of them wished him to which he nodded his head, some people looked at us no me confused as if wanting to know who I was, some ladies looked nope glared at me knowing who I am. I just followed Ezra who got into the private lift and pressed 15th floor, we stood in an awkward silence but I broke it.
"Um, I-I'd prefer not to be called Huss... at work. It's not that I dislike it, I just think it might be... easier for everyone if we, um, keep our marriage, you know, private in the professional setting. Plus, using my full name helps maintain a more formal atmosphere and avoids any potential awkwardness." I spoke softly each word more hesitant the previous one.
He didn't even look at me but I know he listened to every word I said. I was about to open my mouth again to talk but the door of the lift opened.
We stepped into the 15th floor, there was a young woman, she was wearing a ridiculously tight body con dress showing her cleavage "good morning Mr Huss" She wished, her eyes never left his not even noticing that I am also there with him. I rolled my eyes at this "well well someone has a crush on their boss" Ezra nodded his head and said "good morning Linda"
He then looked at me and said "this is our new Managing director of finance Ms Delilah adler" I was shocked hearing this, I never thought he will take my thoughts into consideration.
She looked at me with contempt as if wondering how was I eligible for the position of MD in Huss corp. I mentally rolled my eyes at her typical bitchy behaviour.
"Delilah this is linda Mathews my personal assistant" He said I nodded my head.
"Linda I want the logistics departments order processing files on my table in 15 minutes!" He said and turned towards me and said "come with me" I nodded and followed him he went straight there was black door with the board as "Ezra Huss" CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
He opened the door and went inside,the office was painted grey, with a large black colored desk and a leather chair, there was a big bookcase lining on the entire right hand wall and on the left side was huge glass walls, where the stunning view, whole of London can be seen and a black couch and table on the right corner from the door.
He took a file from the shelf and motioned for me to come near using his hands, I went near him he stretched out the file and a pen "Read through the file and sign it" he said.
I just nodded and read through the file and signed it. Ezra nodded his head and said "come I'll show your cabin" I followed him, He entered another black door on the same floor, the room was same as Benny's but a little small and not as stunning view like his room has. "This is your cabin and your personal assistant is in sick leave so until then if you need anything linda will help you" he states, I nodded my head at him.
He then looked at me intently and stretched his hand out "welcome to the Huss corp Delilah" I shaked his hand, trying to not think of how big his hand is compared to mine "Thank you um not only for this, but for taking my words into consideration" I reply.
He simply nodded his head and left the room, I sat on my chair and sighed. I don't how my life turned this weird I am now a married women, living with my husband, who look like greek God by the way, working in Huss corp as an MD of finance, with lot of women trying to kill me with their glares.
Suddenly someone opened the door, here comes the PA, Ms linda Mathews comes towards me by swaying her hips as if she is walking in a runway. I mentally rolled my eyes at her not so professional behaviour. When she stretched a file and says "Mr Huss wanted you to check through the file and make a report of it" And walks away not even waiting for my response flaunting her plastic ass.
She doesn't even have the courtesy to give a little respect, So rude. Urghhh I hate this, I HATE THIS LIFE!!
For the whole day, I did my work not even bothering to go out for lunch, the useless PA of his came to my room three times giving me files and ordering me around. I don't want to shout at her on my first day in the office so I shut my mouth, controlling my anger.
After finishing all my work, I took the files and went towards his room, the PA's desk was empty I sighed and thanked the heavens as I didn't want see her face one more time today, I knocked on his door and entered when I heard a vague come in, I looked at Ezra who was intently looking at his laptop, I cleared my throat which caught his attention his green eyes locked with mine.
I move forward and place all the files on his desk, he took the first one and opening it, he read through it. He nodded his head and said "it looks good" I nodded my head and said "Tomorrow I need to have a meeting with all the members in finance department "
"Sure I'll introduce you to them, and you can take over from there and I'll tell linda to prepare one of the conference room for the meeting" I gave him a appreciative nod.
It was 7pm already I want to go home or the place I live, He also looked at his watch and sighed "Go take your things, we'll go home" He said looking at me I sighed inwardly and nodded my head and quickly took my phone and bag from cabin, after locking it went to the lift, where Ezra was waiting for me.
We both got out of the office, got in the car and went home, reaching the house I rushed to my room quickly showered ,changed into comfortable clothes and I went to kitchen made simple Mac and cheese, Ezra joined me in the dinning room, where we ate our dinner in utter silence to tired to talk, that and not knowing what to talk as always, I was so hungry as I didn't have breakfast nor lunch I devoured my plate.
After dinner he thanked me for cooking dinner and wishing good night we retired to our rooms.
