chapter 8

Delilah's pov

It's been five days since I left the office, no one in this house opened that topic again even though my father was angry at my behaviour he didn't say anything about it. I know this must have shocked them, because I have never in my 25 years of life talked back to my father like that.

But that day I couldn't control my raging anger. And oh well tomorrow is my wedding day this whole week there has been lot of shopping with my mother who dragged me to taste the cake apparently "Mr Ezra Huss was busy" So I was the one who was free and got dragged, then the dress shopping etc etc .

Me and him didn't talk after our engagement party , I don't really care about that tomorrow is my wedding day I can't believe it. Ceremony is taking place at the Huss's country home which is apparently very big, our wedding is the talk of the world from last week it is really getting crazy. After our ceremony the reception is held in a hotel with minimum of 500 people as I wanted a small wedding, "note my sarcasm "

My maid of honor is Savannah because she was my first ever friend ,Jennifer is one of my bridesmaid. So now my house is filled with my relatives my fathers brother, sisters and their daughters , sons and grandchildren. My mother was a single child but her cousins family is here.

So now I am sitting in my bed surrounded by my sisters Caroline , Veronica , daisy and stacy asking questions about my soon to be husband. "How does he smell?" Asked Caroline . I gave her what the hell look, which she just ignored and waited for my answer, I looked at my other sisters to see that they are giving me curious looks I just rolled my eyes and said "how would I know? This is an arranged marriage for godsake Caroline."

"So what? You guys danced at your engagement party, and most importantly kissed. So you must know how does he smell". She shrugged her shoulders. My eyebrows furrowed wait "what do you mean ? We did not kiss caro!" I yelled.

"Woah there don't yell we saw you guys kiss it was on all magazines." She said everyone in the room except for me nodded their head .
"What No we didn't kiss he just pecked my cheeks after the dance, we didn't actually kiss kiss" I exclaimed.

"Ok look at this" daisy showed her phone I took it from her to see the picture where it looked like Ezra kissing my lips I shaked my head and gave the phone back to daisy and said" He tilted his head to peck my cheeks but it looked like he kissed my lips to others" I shrugged my shoulders. The paparazzi can't know about these things.

I sighed Veronica looked at me with concern and said "delilah I know how it feels I was there in your position once, but now look at me "
Veronica's marriage was also arranged by her parents, but she knew victor her husband as they were friends growing up so it was easy for them to fall in love now they have a beautiful daughter named ayla.

However mine is not going to be like that because I don't even know him. She continued by saying "give this marriage a chance your life will turn beautiful ok?" I just nodded my head swallowing the lump forming in my throat.

When suddenly stacy yelled group hug and all the four hugged nope crushed me, when someone cleared their throat I looked up to see Kaden standing there with his wife and my godson looking at us amused ,my smile got big looking at him.

I got down from the bed when Kadey pulled me in a bone crushing hug and kissed my head. I pulled away from the hug and beamed at him "how are you sweet pea?"

"Fine Kay" I replied . I looked at Leila who is now looking at me with a tight lipped smile . "Hi Leila" I said , when she replied with "hey delilah" and we both hugged lightly. I then picked up my godson "hey there little guy!" He smiled and asked in his cute little voice by touching my cheeks with his chubby little fingers"aunt deli misssh me"
"Of course baby I missed you so much" I said giving him kisses all over his face.

He giggled at that and said"papa dino gave t-tto me"
"Oh really can I meet your dino ?" I asked . He nodded his head excitedly and ran off to bring his dino! I smiled at that and looked at my brother and said "I missed him so much", he just smiled at me.

None of my relatives came to my engagement party because daisy and stacy lives in America, where as Veronica lives in Ireland and Caroline in Australia. However, Kaden couldn't come because logan fell sick that day, he called me apologized for his absence . I just brushed it of saying Logan's health is more important. During his birth there was some complication so logan was not breathing when he was born, but thank god the doctors somehow made him to breathe.
From that day logan gets asthma attack if he runs too much, or even from a tiny cold .

My thoughts were broken when I felt a tug at my shirt I looked down to see logan holding a dinosaur stuffed doll. I kneeled in front of him when he said "Aunty this ish my dino"
"wow logan he is so cute!" He giggled and held it to his chest I ruffled his head.

"Oh I am hurt logan you are not showing your dino to us" Caroline exclaimed. He grinned widely and yelled "aunt Caro" and ran to them. Rest of the day went by talking with my sisters and playing with all the kids.

Later that night all the kids where put to bed and all the elders were sitting in the living room sipping their wine and talking about business. While my sisters and their husbands went to the pool for a night swim. I sat on the swing in our garden, this swing was built by father for my 5th birthday as a gift.

From then I spent most of my time in this swing, I am going to miss this place so much I sighed my parents are not bad people they are just busy people who doesn't have much time for their family. That caused lot of problems between us.

Now they don't know our likes and dislikes that's the problem other than that they are kind people, I remember those times when my dad would make me sit on his lap and tell me stories till I sleep, then my mother cooking my favourite dishes just to make me do my homework.

I miss all those times, I wonder how it will be if they never changed into this busy people who doesn't have any time. I was pulled out of my thoughts when someone placed their hand on my shoulder I looked up to find Kaden's concerned face.

I just shook my head when my eyes starts welling up with tears he pulled me in a hug and rocked me back and forth "Sshhh sweet pea it's alright" I choked a sob, I don't even know for what I am crying. Is it because of my wedding or my life? Kaden rubbed my back and whispered sweet things in my ears. After 5 minutes of crying I sniffed and pulled away "sorry" I whispered he shook his head saying "I am always here for you".

"Thank you Kay" I smiled and wiped my tears. He kissed my forehead and whispered "love you sweet pea" .

"Love you too Kay"I replied. We pulled away when someone cleared their throat and saw Leila standing there with a hard expression and said "logan is asking for you."

He nodded his head and said "I'll go to him" He then walked away wishing me good night. After he was gone leila walked towards me and sat on the other swing. I didn't look at her, and I know she is going to say some hurtful things to me.

I can never be happy for long.
