Love?

Dancing around in my bedroom was a regular occasion since Thomas and I had gotten together. Everytime he dropped me back off after a date I danced and sang my heart out. I was so happy. All the time. If this was love, then I never ever ever wanted it to end.

But there was a downside. As expected, we both worked. A lot. We barely got to see each other, and it was always just the little get together's at night between work and bed, or breakfast dates before we had to rush out. We were managing, though.

He was extremely flirty, and I loved it. He was so adorable. Everytime I'd come home with a sore throat from hours in the studio, Thomas would find time to come over and make me hot tea, and sit with me. He would talk for me, because I would just want to listen. He knew just the right things to say.

Things got awkward sometimes, though. Like we would both just be standing with each other, with no words to say. Or we would awkwardly bump hands and then turn away. It wasn't all perfect, but I hoped we would be able to work out the glitches.

"Gab," Thomas called from my kitchen. I was standing in my room, fighting with my hair.

"Yeah?" I yelled back throughout the house. It was early, and he was making me breakfast before he left for the weekend to go audition for a new movie.

"Breakfast is ready and my flight leaves in two hours, get down here!" I laughed at his fake strictness and walked downstairs slowly.

He laughed and piled food onto my plate as I sat down. He ate with me.

"Excited for your trip?" I asked through my toast.

"Yes, extremely. My agent says I have a chance at getting the lead for the new Gary Ross movie. Gary Ross!" He says.

"That's amazing!"

We finish our breakfast and my heart aches as he puts on his shoes and picks up his suitcase. The cab pulls into our driveway and he kisses me.

"Good luck," I say into his shoulder when he pulls me into a hug.

"Thank you, love." He responds. "I'll miss you."

"I can garuntee you I'll miss you more." I say, "Have fun!"

"I'll try." He says. The cab driver honks his horn and the angry sound startles me.

"Okay, gotta run." He says, "Bye!"

"Bye." I call out, and close the door. I will miss him a lot, but we both know right now, work comes first.
