     WE ALL STEPPED out of the car, Nick being the first to walk away, falling to his knees in pain. It was the first wave of pain, the change, he was losing control over his body. I made my way dizzily to him, the closeness of dawn kicking in. The weakness growing but it didn't matter to me as I grabbed my husband up, trying to hold him up and stabilise him. The rest of the pack joined within seconds, all worried about Nick.

"Is he okay?" Jeremy asked as Nick groaned in pain "It's the first wave of the change, he's caught in the pain" Clay explained taking Nick to get me off some pressure "It's affecting all of us" I turned at the raspy voice and stared in shock at an alive and well Cain but before I could say anything, my balance got lost and Jeremy was quick to hold me in place. Elena went to attack Cain but he stopped her, a hand in the air and "Save your strengths" He said "How are you alive?" Elena asked and I glanced at Clay, remembering the secrecy he had of disposing Cain's 'body' back when he was taken care of.

"We came to an understanding" Clay explained, still holding onto a suffering Nick "I'm with you on this alright? I'm with the Pack" He explained with honesty in his eyes "Did you reach Logan? Is he coming?" Nick looked at Jeremy, all of us following. The look in Jeremy's face was not one you would use to give out good news, Logan must be missing still "Logan was with me at Stonehaven. Aleister attacked us, he was looking for Ruth" Jeremy paused "Jeremy what happened?" Elena asked and I could only fear the worst.

I immediately prepared myself to hear that we had lost another one of us "He fought very bravely... the wounds were terrible" Jeremy explained "What are you saying?" Nick asked "Logan is dead" Jeremy said. Our world stopped. Logan was family, he was one of us. "No" Elena cried as the combination of grief and exhaustion made my knees give in, Jeremy holding me tighter and pulling me to his chest, tears falling down my cheeks.

"Logan died with Rachel by his side" Jeremy added. Nick fell to his knees as another wave of pain struck him, the news also bringing him down. I stepped away from Jeremy and took a hold of Nick, helping him up and to the hood of the car where he could support himself better "She's still back at Stonehaven. We will see this through and then we'll go back to bury him" He concluded "Aleister's inside. Where?" The anger in Clay's voice was impossible to hide, that had been the very drop the overflowed the cup.

We were going to find Aleister and we were going to terminate him, not for the witches, not for us, but for Logan. We were going to avenge his death "Ruth started a spell to kill Aleister, he's going to try to find her and stop her" Jeremy explained "She'll be in our sacred ritual room in the catacombs beneath the building" Paige said, seconds later Elena nearly fainting. Nick groaned and doubled in pain, myself grabbing both his arms and pulling him up. His eyes showed nothing but suffering "You listen to me Nicholas, don't you dare change on me" I said placing a hand on his cheek.
