Mizuki wondered what it would be like if she was a normal girl living a normal life. To live in a home and have parents or maybe siblings. Any relatives, really.
Unlike other supernaturals of the school, she could leave and live somewhere else. But where would she go? The Minamoto residence was the only option. But, she doubted that a household of exorcists would invite Death itself into their home.
Teru would ask her to come stay with him. He would say he can handle everything and protect her. But she refused and remained in the school.
The hallway connecting old building to the current building is where she built her boundary. Yes, she had her own. After all, she is a school mystery. Although, not an official school mystery, she was still a rumor that lingered in the hallways. A powerful one at that.
'Perhaps I could stay with Teru...' she thought, but shrugged off the thought. It was about midnight now, and she was ready to sleep.
Changing into her pair of pajamas Minamoto gave her, she climbed into her futon that was on a tatami floor.
She glanced over at her yorishiro with a sad smile before falling into slumber...
