The two of them spent the rest of the day on the roof and skipped class. Eventually, Minamoto had to go to the student council for an after-school meeting. Although Mizuki is the manager, she didn't attend any meetings or anything, being the lazy ass she is.
She stared down at the school's front yard as students pooled out from the building. As expected, everyone was eager to head home or go hang out like usual. What she didn't expect was the fact that the door would click open and it wasn't Minamoto who entered the roof.
"Ah, there you are."
Fuck. It was Daishou. Just as Mizuki's day was getting better, he had to come find her. Mizuki flinched, a frown replacing her love-struck silver orbs.
She didn't want any of Suguru's bullshit, so she silently walked towards the exit.
Just as she was about to brush past him, he caught her wrist. "Listen to what I have to say!" he exclaimed. "Please..." he added as he let go.
That was a surprise. Suguru never said please to her before. Something in him had changed and she knew from the desperation in his voice.
"Go on..." she sighed.
"I'm here for you. Because I want to apologize." he revealed. And all this time, Mizuki thought he was here to use her again. "When I... When I transferred to Nohebi, I met a girl. Her name is Mika. She... She taught me many things and she made me reallize I treated you so so wrongly." he said, eyes glued to the ground. He bit his lower lip as he squinted his eyes. He looked up at Mizuki.
"I am sorry for everything, Mizuki." he apologized and bowed 90 degrees.
Mizuki was awestruck. She was left speechless as she would've never guessed that Daishou Suguru of all people would come apologizing to her. She could only stare at him with an agape mouth and wide eyes.
Suguru regained his posture as he guiltily smiled at her. "You found yourself a great master this time. I wish you the best." he said and walked past her. Once he was at the exit, he looked back at her one last time before leaving.
