Teru headed straight to his classroom after Mizuki's little out-burst. He waited and waited for her to come to class, but she didn't. First period had already started.
Teru rose a hand. "Yes, Minamoto-san?" the teacher asked.
"Can I go to the Nurse's office? I'm not feeling very well." Teru lied. The teacher reluctantly gave him permission.
Teru exited the classroom and bolted. He needed to find Mizuki. There was this uneasy feeling in the pit of his guts and he didn't want to ignore it.
First he checked the roof. Not there. So he went downstairs to the first floor and decided to look starting from the first floor.
Lucky for him, just as he came to the first floor, he saw the guy from yesterday coming out of the Music Room. He had this annoyed look on his face.
Daishou Suguru... was it? Teru thought to himself. Just as he was about to ignore him, he remembered the letter. Maybe Mizuki was in the Music Room with him?
Once Daishou had left, which didn't take very long, Teru immediately went into the Music Room.
And there she was.
On the floor, shaking. Quiet, ragged breaths left her mouth. She didn't seem to notice him enter.
"Mizu-chan..." Teru muttered, brows knitting together in worry. He walked over to her and bent down as he grabbed her hand and pulled her up from the floor. He noticed that she flinched from his touch, but ignored it.
Wrapping his hands around her, he embraced her.
"It's all right, Mizu-chan..." he softly whispered into her ear. "Everything will be okay... I'm here for you."
Mizuki's hands gripped his shirt as she let out a sob. Her tears stained his shirt as she cried.
"Teru..." she mumbled through sobs. Her anxiety attack had seized, and relief washed over her as she knew Teru was by her side. He's always been her side when she needed him. Mizuki got a sense of deja vu as she remembered back to when she cried into his shirt in the student council room.
She was sure that Teru would never push her away now. But why?
She's a supernatural and he's an exorcist. They don't belong in the same world.
