1966 has passed now, it's 1967. Dally's nineteen, my birthday's coming up. It's February now. My cancer is improving a little bit, they put me on an inhaler. Took 'em long enough.

Dally's point of view:

We were all hanging out at the Curtis' place. "I'm gonna grab some water from the kitchen real quick." Said Susan
About a full minute passed and we heard a loud thud from the kitchen. I went in to see what it was. Please don't be Susan! I thought I always got what I wanted. "Guys, get the truck ready!" I shouted
I found Susan passed out on the floor. I picked her up, she was struggling to breathe. I put her in the backseat of Darry's truck and we drove to the hospital. "Come on, Susan, stay with me, keep fighting and stay with me!" I said
We made it to the hospital and they gave her oxygen. "Boys, I hate to tell you this, but she's dying." Said the doctor
I couldn't believe what I was hearing. The love of my life was at deaths door. Why was God taking her from me so early? She opened her eyes as the doctor walked out. "Guys, I could hear the doctor, I know this is it." She said
"No, Susan, don't say that." Said Sarah
"Sarah, don't deny the truth. Look, everything will be ok, I just won't be around." Said Susan
We all started to tear up. I was holding her hand and her grip loosened on mine. "Hey, don't do anything stupid, ok?" Her words started to fade, "I love all of you so much!" She closed her eyes
"Susan, come on, wake up." I was full crying at this point, "Come on, Susan, don't die on me now! Please."
"Dally," said Darry, "she's ok."
The doctor came in and gave Darry and I some papers. She also gave me a book, I recognized it instantly. It's the book that Susan has been writing. She never let any of us look in it. Her funeral would be the next day. Darry let me and Sarah crash at his place. I couldn't believe it, the love of my life is gone.
