Liam's POV
I hung up, trying to hold back an excited spaz attack. I was think about just leaving, without telling my mom, but the decided I'll probably get in more trouble for that.
My mom was still really pissed with me for getting suspending. Even after I explained to her why I punched Bracken she said to me in her nagging voice, "Well next time ask him nicely to stop." I rolled my eyes and wished that she would stop talking.
"Yo mamma don't raise no barbarians," Dad added in a teasing voice. My mom sighed and dismissively walked away. "I think that it was a good thing that you socked him, he deserved it. And you need to stand up for your women." He laughed.
"Your right." I stated, "I am going to Mia's house for dinner, I'll be home around seven or eight." I told him, putting on my black leather jacket.
"Oh you're gonna go eat some "dinner"?" My dad poked at me, "Is it some gratitude thing? Hmm no if it was that she would've invited you for dessert."
"Shut up," I blushed, pushing him away and hurried out the door before he could continue.
"Have fun!" He told me right before I slammed the door. My dad can be so obnoxious, but I guess that there could be worse. I grabbed my keys out of my pocket and unlocked my blue truck, climbing into the drivers seat. I was feeling a little nervous to see Mia after I completely embarrassed myself this morning. But I have to face her eventually.
I drove slowly to her house, trying not to get a speeding ticket. If I got one today I think that my mom will dig my grave. I pulled into the drive way and saw Jay in the mirror rolling in with his skateboard.
I stepped out of the car and smashed my door shut. Jay glared at me and demanded, "What are you doing here?"
His rude tone didn't really throw me off guard. But it always strikes me how different he is from Emma. Jay is pretty tall, I think that he is just hitting his growth spurt. He is really skinny, with almost no muscle whatsoever, and his brown curly hair feel into his eyes. And his eyes were blue, not green like Mia's. he also had a strange limp, I don't know how he got it, but I am assuming it wasn't from a sport accident.
"Mia invited me for dinner," I told him, locking the truck and almost started to go to the door, but his next question took aback.
"Oh I get it, Emma is out of the picture and Mia wants to get you before another drooling girl does." He snarled this with an angry tone.
I blinked, shocked on so many measures. I was kinda curious about why he thinks girls are drooling over me, but the question that I asked was, "How do you know about me and Emma?"
"I dunno i just have heard, and maybe I listened while my sister is on the phone with Emma." He answered almost guilty.
"Oh," Was all I said, what more could I say? Ask him what they were saying about me?
"Hey guys the pizza is getting cold!" Mia yelled opening the front door. She looked like an angel with her long curly air blowing in the wind. She also looked a really confused, probably wondering why we are out here in the howling wind talking to each other.
"Coming," Jay said, still not taking his eyes off of me as he walked up the porch and went through the door.
I chuckled when he was gone and Mia asked, "What's wrong with him?" I shook my head and raised my shoulders, walking up the porch steps.
Mia laughed, her beautiful laugh that always makes me want her not to stop. And we walked into the house together.
