I knocked on the door and waited in anticipation. The cameramen were behind me already beginning the filming.
It was awkward to say the least."So..." I began to make awkward conversation.
"Did you have a nice day yesterday?""Yes."
...
"Nice." I nodded.
Silence enveloped the atmosphere. None of us wanting to break it and carry on the conversation.
I knocked again.
"So..." I continued.
"Do you have any family?""Yes."
"Nice."
The door opened revealing the small intimidating man.
"Come in."We ushered in after him. The recording studio still looked the same except maybe a little more cramped because of the camera men.
"Nice to see they made the cameras visible this time." He shaded before taking a seat in his fancy spinny leather chair.
"RaeJin take a seat."I followed his instructions and sat on the same unoccupied spinny chair that I had sat on before.
"What?" He shook his head looking at my arm.
"Already? You're faulty already?"Faulty?
"How did you do that already?"
"Just me being clumsy."
"Are you still going to be able to do the song?"
"Yeah, it's only for a few days so it should be all good by then." I reassured him.
"Good." He clapped.
"Now have you got ideas the for the song that I asked you to do?""Yep." I fished the notes out from my bag.
"I actually came up with a draft."I'd spent the night not sleeping but coming up with melodies and lyrics for the group song. I didn't want to take any risks after hearing the rumours that Gd doesn't play when it comes to music.
"Wow, you work quickly." He raised a brow as I handed over my note music.
"But there's no point working quickly if the song isn't good."I nodded in agreement.
"Here are the lyrics to go with it." I thrusted them into his hands.
He quickly scanned them.
"Seems good so far, but you can only tell when it's actually performed. What were you thinking for the beat?""Originally, imagined it being played on the guitar but I can't really play it with the state I'm in."
"We can just alter the effects on the keyboard so it sound like a guitar and I'll play the chords for you." He suggested.
"Okay."
It wasn't quite the same as playing an actual guitar but it would do.
He wheeled himself over to the keyboard to start synthesising the song.
"Come on. I need your input too."I pushed myself over to the keyboard, right next to him.
"What note should we start it off with C4 or C5? What were you thinking?" He asked.
"Middle C, C4. I think it'll make to song sound more calming so when we sing it will kind of seem like we're having a conversation." I answered.
"Nice." He commented before playing the melody.
