Faye slammed her hands on her desk. "You are here because I pity you! What do you not get about that?!"
"I don't need your pity to get a job!" Her sister snapped back.
"Then leave! For the love of god get out of my life!" Faye snapped and threw her hands in the air.
Adria gripped her hands tightly into fists. "I earned this job!"
Faye shook her head. "Doing what?! You are the dumbest person in this entire operation! You literally can't even give people coffee correctly!"
"Your just jealous!" Adria snapped.
"Why on earth would I ever be jealous of you?! Your nothing but a selfish bitch who thinks she deserves everything under the sun!" Faye snapped. "Get out! You're fired! From here and from my life!"
Adria walked to the door. "When I'm successful you'll regret acting like this towards me!" She snapped and slammed the door behind her.
"I'm not too worried!" Faye screamed after her and grabbed the stabler and slammed it against the door.
She put her hands on her hips and closed her eyes. "I'm surrounded by idiots." She mumbled.Faye walked into her house and shut the door behind her. She ran her fingers through her hair and leaned on the door for a second.
Alexander walked in. "You're late."
Faye straightened her posture. "Is Keren in bed?"
He nodded. He crossed his arms. "You're late." He repeated.
Days said nothing and she set her bag on the ground.
"Faye why are you late?" He asked her.
"Is it that big of a deal? I've been late before." Faye said.
"You're five hours late. I'm not stupid Faye. You never stay at work that long." He said.
Faye crossed her arms to match his. "We're having the annual company party tomorrow night and there was much to be done. You wonder why I was so reluctant to stay home? No one in the company is capable of getting things done when I'm not around them to push them to get started." She said.
"An annual party? Faye we don't have one." Alexander said and dropped his arms.
"We do but only this year are assistants allowed to join." Faye said. "Unless of course you give me a reason to drop that new rule." She said. "Now if you'll excuse me, I'm tired and I have to get up early tomorrow." She said and walked past him to their room.
Alexander woke to the normal routine. Faye woke early in the morning due to morning sickness and he rose from the bed and joined her in the bathroom. No matter how angry he found himself with her, she was his wife and he wanted any discomfort to be gone from her.
Her soothingly rubbed her back and kissed her temple. She sat against the tub and closed her eyes. "Good morning." She said in a whisper.
He reached over and flushed the toilet and reached Over and grabbed a wash cloth. He wet it and wiped her face off. "Good morning sleeping beauty."
Faye smiled slightly. "I wouldn't go that far." She said and stood up slowly.
Alexander kisses her cheek. "I would."
Faye heard the crackle of the baby monitor. "Did you get a babysitter?"
He shook his head. "She is out sick. I can stay home from the party if-"
Faye held up her hand to silence him. "Nonsense. She can come to the party. We'll just let the other parents bring their children so she'll have someone to play with." She said and leaned on the counter. "Do you have something to wear?"
He nodded. "Of course. Do you?"
Faye smiled. "As always."
He walked to the door. "I should get Keren. She's up and about."
Faye followed him. "She takes after you."
Alexander looked at his wife. "She's the spitting image of you my dear. Perfect and quite the early bird."
