Alexander sat beside Adria. "Maybe she didn't leave work. She could still be there! I didn't go and check for her." He said.
Adria shook her head. "It's been five hours since you've come home. She'd be home by now." She said and adjusted Julie to her other shoulder. "I think we should call my mother. She'd know what to do." She said.
Alexander sat back and shook his head. "I could call my mother. I know she's not the greatest person we know but my father used to work on the police force and she has ties." He said.
Adria raised her eyebrow. "Are you sure you want to bring the police into this?" She asked and looked at keren who was playing. She had no clue what was going on.
"Faye wouldn't just up and disappear." He said.
Keren looked up. "Disappear? Mommy okay?"
Alexander walked over and scooped her up. "Mommy's okay." He said and kissed her head. "She's okay."
Keren rested her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes. "I love you daddy."
He looked at Adria and kissed kerens head again. "I love you too love." He said and held her tightly.
Adria stood up. "I think we should call the police." She said softly. "Before she's too far gone."

Alexander slammed his hand on the desk. "I don't care whether she's an adult or not! My wife would not just leave! You have to file a missing persons case!"
The officer looked at him. She was unfazed. Every husband acted like this. "Sir, it hasn't been twenty four hours. I cannot file a case until it's reached that hour mark." She said.
Alexander wiped a tear from his cheek. "She wouldn't leave her kids. She wouldn't leave us. You saw the texts right? Doesn't that tip you off?"
"Sir they seem like every other text she's ever got." She said and stood up. "Come back after we've reached the twenty four hour mark." She said. "I suggest you get some rest. After that we will see how we should move forward." She said.
Alexander shook his head. "Please. Help me find my wife."

Adria looked at Alexander. "It's been three weeks Alexander. And we haven't got anything. What if she did leave?" She asked. Her hand rested on her stomach.
He looked at keren playing in the distance. "Not with her children here. She wouldn't leave."
Adria sat down beside him. "I don't know. Maybe this was all too much you know? She's had so much stress in her life. Maybe she had to leave. Start again?" She asked and looked at Julie who giggled on the blanket in front of them.
Alexander rested his head on his hand. He closed his eyes. "Maybe she did." He said softly. "Maybe she couldn't handle the pressure."
Adria rested her hand on his shoulder. "Only time will tell." She said softly. "I hope for yours and the children's sake. She comes back soon." She whispered.
Alexander nodded. "I hope so too."

Three weeks turned into months. Alexander was losing hope. Adria sat at the kitchen table and fed Keren. "Eat up love."
"No! I want momma!" She cried and slammed her hands on the table. "No, no, no!" She cried.
Adria sighed and looked at her. "I know you do. We all do. But you need to eat."
Alexander sat down. "If she doesn't want to eat then  don't make her. She'll eat when she's hungry." He said. "And Faye probably won't come back. If she did leave then she would have come back by now if she wanted to."
Adria set the spoon down. "Alex dont talk like that."
He stood up. "I have to go to work." He said and walked to the door.
He pulled it open. An officer was about to knock. "Sir?"
He raised his eyebrow. "Yes?" He asked. "Do you have any clue where my wife is?"
She looked at him. "We are shifting the case. We believe you're wife has been kidnapped."
