The Third-ish

oops i missed a thursday. and this chapter is gonna be shorter than usual bc i have a lot of stuff going on rn. sorryyy

"we're going driving today" Tyler said. i looked at him with a confused expression as i spread the cream cheese on my bagel.

"what do you mean?" i asked. i walked over and sat down next to him. "we're going driving today." he said again and i just chose not to question it. i finished my bagel and went to my room to get dressed. it was warmer today so i put on a striped t-shirt and black leggings.

"where are we going" i asked him. "you'll see" he said and then kissed me on the cheek. i took that as a 'stop asking questions' and followed him to the car. we held hands as he drove and i sang the songs that came on the radio. i kept watching Tyler (because he's hot obviously) and i noticed that he seemed indecisive about where to go. "do you even know where you're going?" i asked. he looked at me, blushed, and admitted that he was just making it up as he went. "what do you mean you're just making it up?" i asked. "i'm trying to find yard sales but there's none around town." he said.

"sweetie. it's the beginning of spring. i doubt there will be any yard sales out right now." just as i said this, i remembered that prom was coming up fairly soon and that i don't have a dress for it. "change of plans. we're going dress shopping." i said to Tyler. he looked at me and said "i am not wearing a dress for your entertainment." i laughed and told him that i don't have a prom dress. we agreed that we'd go shopping and then he'd take me on a date and so he drove to the mall.

almost immediately, i fell in love with a dark green dress on the rack (see picture above). it was beautiful. i tried it on and i honestly felt good. i walked out of the fitting room and went to show Tyler. he stood in front of me and smiled. "you are beautiful. i think that's the one." he said and i agreed. i bought it and we went back to the car to go on our date. this is the third of seven that i agreed to, and hopefully there will be more since we're dating yknow.

"so, where are we going?" i asked. he actually answered my question this time, saying that we were going to this really cute bridge in our town. when we were almost there, Tyler told me to close my eyes and i did. he led me out of the car and towards the bridge. i wanted to look so bad but i knew that he'd be upset if i did so i kept my eyes closed.

i heard some shuffling after Tyler let go but then it stopped. he told me i could open my eyes and when i looked up, i saw Tyler holding a sign that said "will you be my Princess at prom?" and next to him was a small castle made out of cardboard. i immediately started tearing up and i ran to him screaming "yes!" i hugged him and started crying in his arms.

"aw princess don't cry" he said while he put me back down on the ground. "i-" i was about to say three words that i wasn't prepared to say but stopped myself before i could finish my sentence.

he looked at me seriously and blushed. i could've sworn he said "i love you", but he instead said "you're adorable." i kissed him and we went back home to share the news.
