Kane Nigiwau - One Piece

He and the One Piece ocs to follow are actually ones I submitted to a story, but didn't go through, so I used that template.  I also stink at attacks, but I'm just copy-and-pasting, so.....

Race: Human

Romance: He will like most cute, feisty girls. Or who at least seem like a challenge. 

Devil Fruit/Weapon: Omoi omoi no mi – Mind Mind Fruit. Quite similar to psychic abilities. Tends to either use it to affect the mind of others in some ways, but both ways it depends on him forcing his mind power on them. He can extend this to force objects to move, such as with telekinesis. 

Attacks – 

Sleep Snap – Is called this because he will snap his fingers, and then use his mind's power to force the other's to shut down so they will fall into a possibly deep sleep. The length of it depends on how strong the other person's will power/mind power is.

Mind Puppet – Will usually use after Sleep Snap. Also by enhancing his mind power, he can take control of other people. This is easiest when they are asleep because they are completely vulnerable. He has only achieved it on someone awake twice.

Psy Pulse – Will turn his mind power into waves, then shoot them out in pulses at his enemy.

Telekinesis – Just as it says. He will use telekinesis to control objects.

Illusion – Depends on the other's mind power how well it will work. Supposed to be so that Kane can make them see whatever he wants.

Physical Appearance: He has sandy blond spiky/shaggy hair that borders being brown, jade green eyes, and tan skin. He is 5'7", though can manage to give himself a big air when he wants to. He has a small tattoo under his eyes of a red tear drop, as well as another one on his arm of the kanji for "to prosper" (what his surname means), but he keeps it hidden under a white wrapping on his left bicep. 

Clothing: He wears a black long sleeveless cloak that goes to his feet (What is this called? Do you know? I can only describe how it looks T^T), a grey T-shirt underneath, and blue pants. As stated before, he has a white wrapping around his left bicep where a tattoo for the "to prosper" kanji is.

History: Kane grew up in the North Sea on the continent of Meruhen in a city known as Raregroove. It was a prosperous and grand capital of Meruhen. Kane actually lived a good life with a family high up politically. But because of this, much was expected of Kane, so he was very caged in his teachings and hammered with his parents' beliefs. Every day felt like a curse to Kane, who had been born with a free, rebellious spirit. He cared deeply for his parents nevertheless, so his acts of rebellion were slight and rare because he didn't want to upset them.

Even though he cared for his parents, it was proven they cared more about their political status than him. At one point the country went through a bad time, and only those with money could stay in power. It only lasted for three years, but that was enough for Kane's family to begin to fall behind. At one point they had a choice - give Kane away for a slave until they could buy him back or stay within the government. In the end they gave Kane away. He wad devestated, and much of his care for his parents was destroyed. During this time, however, he went through much growth. He was taken by relatively good people who owned a small pub and needed some extra hands. He even made more friends and he had more freedom than he ever had at his own home. It was also then that he first began to hear tales about pirates. Many of the people who arrived at the pub either told tales of them or, once, pirates even came in.

Two and a half years later, when Kane was nearing his thirteenth birthday. The depression over the country was lifting, and parents he hadn't seen in months suddenly seemed to remember him. They came back to take Kane back, and were stunned when they suddenly found their innocent, moldable son already so matured and strong willed. Kane hated his life when he was taken back, resisting more than he ever had before. To Kane's parents, it was like raising a completely different son, but they knew he was to one day succeed them and needed him to learn Kane could only take this for three months, and then he ran away. He hid on a small pirate ship. By the time his parents figured out about this, the ship had already departed and was heading for the Grand Line.

The pirates he was with found him after a day, but they were nice enough to make him their chore boy. It was during his time with them that he found the Omoi-Omoi no Mi. He had believed it was nothing more than a regular fruit on the island they had stopped on, but found out on accident that it was a Devil Fruit. He sent a chair flying at a bully of a pirate, which ended up with a bar brawl. After that the crew tried to get his powers under control, and by sixteen he was quite good at it. The crew's thief, Flynn, began to teach him all his tricks as well as how to use his Devil Fruit to help him. Because of this he grew to be a second thief for the crew.

A problem occurred when the crew was challenged to a Davy Back Fight and lost their flag. The captain and first mate was taken, doing a major blow to the already small crew. Disheartened, many left, only making it worse. Before long everyone disbanded, leaving Kane by himself. This did not crush him, however. Instead he continued on as a bounty hunter, even helping out pirates every once in a while if they weren't his target. (From here you can change it) Only six months prior to current time, he ran into a crew called the Ragtag Pirates, who took in those who didn't really have anywhere to go. From there he joined, though still occasionally goes after bounties. The captain accepts his want to not be controlled ever again and doesn't try, but does care greatly for them.

Family:

Geref Nigiwau – His father. Kane cares very little for him anymore. Or at least tries to convince himself of this. If he were ever to find out they were in trouble, he'd save him and then run off again.

Margret Nigiwau – His mother. Although she tended to be gentler and nicer to Kane, also doesn't care too much for her anymore. In the same way as he "doesn't care" for his father.

Personality: As I've said before, Kane is a free, rebellious spirit. Before he wouldn't have minded as much being pushed down, but after the freeness he has experienced, he never wants to be controlled again. He also cannot stand anything being given to him. Kane wants a challenge. After being spoiled for so long, he hates it. That is why he tends to go after girls he feels will reject him – it will be harder. During battle or just around friend, he likes to taunt others just to get a reaction. A lot of what he does is simply for his own amusement unless you make him serious, which is usually only if it's a life or death battle or you mess with his nakama. He has a strong bond with his nakama, and because of that will do whatever so save them. Kane is greatly claustrophobic, and fears being let down by someone he cares about again. Also, he is bad at taking orders because he's so used to doing things his own way now.

Likes: Challenges, fruits, standing in the wind, animals, almost anything that is free, especially bird (has always been a big fan of birds), and playing around.

Dislikes: Being forced to do something, cages, those who do things for themselves, bratty people, anyone who hurts his friends, onions, other bitter food, and his parents.

Goals (Or Dreams if you prefer): Just to live his entire life free.
