The ride back to Delferth was silent. We both were distant and lost in our own thoughts.

My lobe warmed signaling that Constel was awake. After the breach by the Order, this was the first time he activated.

"Everything good, Constel?" I asked.

"That bitch better stay away from my domain, Fizayer, or else I'll show her what I'm made of," he warned coldly.

I nodded in assent. Constel was obviously still angry about the breach. I didn't want to stow it or else I would be the one bearing the brunt of his wrath. So, I gave him something else to think about.

"Constel, why didn't you remind me of the prophecy?"

"I didn't know you forgot. Well, having a runaway mate on your hands has clearly taken precedence over the prophecy. I, too, was enjoying the chase with you. But don't worry, she won't run anymore."

"How are you so certain?"

"I am because I know."

"If you know so much then why don't you just tell me how to solve this prophecy?"

"All in good time. You've become tetchy, Fizayer. You need to get laid."

I pursed my lips. "Why don't you get laid? Maybe it's you who's impressing your frustration on me."

"Give me free rein and I'll show your bride a good time. Not like a quickie you did last time."

My hands clenched on the console. "You're getting out of bounds, Constel. Come down from your high or else."

"Or else? What can you do?"

I couldn't do anything. I could only rein him in. That was my only power.

"You can't do anything. But I apologize, I wasn't thinking clearly."

I nodded. Come to think of it, I never asked about Constel's sex or love life. Was it even there? I was suddenly very curious.

"Constel?"

"Hmm?"

"Do you ever fuck? I mean, do you have these feelings?"

"I do. And I have. Like you, I too have a soulmate. She's just not born yet."

"And you know who she is?"

"Of course!"

"Who?" I was getting more curious by the second.

"Can't tell."

"Okay, tell me, how you'll mate with her when you're attached to me?"

"Can't tell that either."

"Then what can you tell?" I asked, frustratingly.

"That you have an unsolved prophecy, an unofficial marriage, a possible war, and a very clever neighbor. I advise you to get your head back on these important issues or else it will be too late."

He dumped the pending tasks on me and I turned serious. Of course, I had my attention on it but lately, I had been slacking. All because of my beautiful mate who was now sleeping peacefully in the co-pilot's seat.

The vision from last night had never left me to even consider remembering it. It was etched into my mind, ready to take over at any moment. Seemed like now I had two things to hold back; Constel and that traitorous vision.
