The next destination was a long way where Xiao Zhan was confused when he saw the donkey.
"This is Little Apple. This donkey belonged to you" Lan Wangji said to break the silence and Xiao Zhan eyes went wide
"This is mine?" Xiao Zhan said pointing to himself and he realized what Lan Wangji was talking to.
"Ah this is Wei Ying's donkey" Xiao Zhan thought to himself. He blew the strand of loose hair and he smiled as he approached the animal.
"Wonder why you are called Little Apple?" He ask the animal stroking its nose.
"Little Apple somehow always like the apples Wei Ying gave it" Lan Wangji said as he slipped underneath his sleeve and retrieved a red apple.
The donkey made some noise before being fed the apple crunching it loudly.
Xiao Zhan couldn't help but smile. He doesn't know why he have this sudden kind of happiness. He doesn't realise Lan Wangji was staring at him and smiled slightly as well.
Then he said "Let us move on" and soon started to walk away from the shed.
Xiao Zhan quickly patted the donkey's head and soon ran after Lan Wangji.
Soon they stopped at the area where all the junior cultivators who are still in training having their meal.
At that moment a young man called them "Hanguang-Jun, Child Wei" he came towards them and bowed.
"Ah Shizui how was your classes today?" Lan Wangji asks
The younger man by the name of Shizui just smiled and said "They are good Hanguang-jun. You are here with Child Wei"
"Yes. He is still unwell after his fall at Lotus Lake" Lan Wangji said and soon left the two older men.
"He is cute" Was the first thing Xiao Zhan said breaking the silence between them.
"Yes, he is" Lan Wangji said and added "Let us go back to have our meal" He walked towards Jingshi.
In a distance a figure was watching them and said in a worried tone "Child Wei".
