The practice camp was finally starting. The team arrived at the gym around 5am to load onto the bus that would take them to Tokyo.
Shoyo and Tobio decided to sit together so they could watch volleyball videos during the ride. They both passed out during the first video.
"Hinata? Kageyama? Wake up!"
Tobio opened his eyes, his vision blurred with orange fluff, Shoyo was sleeping on his shoulder. He looked up to see the voice that called for him, it was the Captain.
"Sorry Captain," Tobio yawned. "Are we there?"
"Yes, we are," Daichi laughs, picking up his duffle bag from under his seat. "Wake up Hinata, I'll wait for you outside."
"Yes Sir," he said looking down at his partner. "Hey...Shoyo? Wake up."
Nothing. He didn't budge or make a sound.
"Dumbass...if you don't wake up I won't toss to you..." Tobio said, this time getting a response.
"Bakayama...you're so stingy..." Shoyo whined as he slowly opened his eyes.
Tobio grinned as he stood up, watching Shoyo fall over in their seat. They slowly climbed off the bus and follow Daichi inside the school. This was their first time visiting another schools a having a training camp.
"I'm going ahead," Daichi said. "Don't get lost. Just follow the hallway and take two right turns."
"Yes Captain," Shoyo smiles, saluting him.
"I wonder what kind of floors they use in the gym?" Tobio says out loud.
Shoyo just giggles to himself. Sometimes Tobio said the funniest things when no one else was around. He felt like the other team members were missing out, but secretly liked the alone time he got with Tobio. They walked slowly down the hallway.
The last few weeks they had gotten a lot closer, not just teammates, but as friends. Shoyo was determined to help Tobio find his soulmate, no matter what. They were both happy knowing that their Soulmates loved volleyball and their best chance of finding them could be at this volleyball camp.
Shoyo place his hand over his mark smiling...it was still warm.
"Is your mark reacting too?" Tobio asked, pulling Shoyo out of his thoughts, he nodded quickly. "Mine has been since we woke up."
"Really...mine too!" Shoyo beamed up at his partner. "Then they have to be near by."
"But how do we find them..." Tobio starts to say, looking down the hallway.
"Who are you looking for?" A quiet voice startles them.
They jumped, grabbing ahold of each other and turned around to see a small boy with bleached blonde hair and black roots, standing behind them holding a PSP in his hands.
"Oh...hello," Shoyo said, releasing Tobio's shirt. "I'm Shoyo Hinata. This is Tobio Kageyama. We're from Karasuno."
"Hi," the boy looked back and forth between the two. "I'm Kenma Kozume. I'm from Nekoma."
"Hello," Tobio said, bowing.
"So...who are you looking for?" Kenma asked, not looking up from his game.
"Oh...we are..." Shoyo starts to say.
"Kenma!" A tall older student wearing the same jersey as Kenma walks up behind them, his hair is black and slanted.
"Bed hair..." Tobio whispers.
Shoyo giggles, just before tall rooster head reaches them.
"You found some stragglers," he smiles.
"This is my partner Tetsuro Kuroo," Kenma lifts his hand up towards his teammate.
"I-I'm Shoyo Hinata and this is Tobio Kageyama! We are from Karasuno!" Shoyo quickly bows.
"Hello," Tobio bows.
"Daichi said you might get lost on the way to the gyms," Kuroo laughs, extending his hand to each boy. "Call me Kuroo. I'll show you guys to the way."
"Thank you!" They yell in sync, following quickly behind the boys from Nekoma.
"Do you think one of them or both of them could be our soulmates?" Shoyo whispers, holding his hand up to cover his mouth.
Tobio leans down as they walk, brushing his shoulder against Shoyo.
"I don't know. I didn't feel anything when we shook hands with the taller one," Tobio whispers.
"Me either," Shoyo sighs, leaning a little more against his teammate.
"Hurry up you two!" Kuroo laughs, slinging his arm over Kenma shoulders, dragging him inside the gym.
Tobio stands upright and walks a little quicker, looking back at Shoyo.
"Don't worry too much, Dumbass," he smiles. "We have three days to keep looking."
Shoyo lifts up his head and smiles.
"Your right!" He laughs, joining the others, rubbing his shoulder where Tobio had been, the warmth faiding.
"Hard wood floors..." Tobio whispers, stopping at the entrance to the gym.
Shoyo laughs, patting his partner on the back as they joined their teammates in the gym with the other schools.
