Harry sat bolt upright in bed, panting, sweating and shaking. "Harry are you okay?" Draco ran over to him, even though it was only a few steps. "Y...yeah I'm fine. You're already up?" He asked, clearly extremely shaken up. "You're lying to me again Harry." Draco was stern when he needed to be. "It was a nightmare about back at home..." Harry explained honestly. "Harry that place is not home! Home is safe! With people that will protect you! People that you love!" Draco looked Harry dead in the eyes when he said that. "So here is home!" Harry said happily. But people bullied him here all the time and he's not always safe. "How?" Draco asked curiously. "Well, you of course! You protect me, you keep me safe, and I-" Harry stopped mid sentence and turned a bright red. "I'm sorry!" He sprinted out into the corridor once again. Always running from your problems Potter. Never facing them. Harry stopped dead in his tracks. He was right. I have to face them. But how? And as if Merlín heard him, Snape and McGonagall turned the corner. "Ah, just who we were looking for. Where is Mr Malfoy?" She asked kindly. "Still in the spare chambers Professor" Harry mumbled. "Alright, will you come with me to my office please? Mr Malfoy will be there in a minute." Harry nodded and made his way there. Looks like this is how. Already inside the office was...

"Weasley?" Harry said, confused. "What is he doing here! You said this was going to be about my punishment!" Ron yelled, and Harry flinched, not unnoticed by the teachers. "And it is Mr Weasley. But first we need to have this conversation." McGonagall said with her gentle sternness. Just as she finished her sentence, Draco walked in. "IM GONNA KILL YOU YOU PRICK!" He yelled as he saw Ron. Fortunately, Snape was prepared for this kind of reaction, and had already taken hold of him, preventing movement. "LET ME GO! YOU SAW WHAT HE DID TO HARRY! AND ITS SO MUCH WORSE THAN A BROKEN WRIST! IF ME AND HERMIONE WEREN'T AS GOOD FRIENDS AS WE ARE, HE WOULD BE DEAD! BECAUSE OF YOU!" He broke free of Snape's grip and charged the boy. "Immobilus." Harry muttered and froze Draco in place. "I'm sorry Dray, but I won't let you get expelled because of him. Just breathe, and keep thinking of what I said earlier. I know I ran but I was scared. I can see now that I don't have to be, and that I'll always have you to protect me, and you can't do that if you aren't at hogwarts anymore." Draco's breathing steadied and Harry removed the spell. He came and sat next to him, while the teachers looked at them with shock. No one could ever calm Malfoy down, not that quickly. "Umm- right then. Right. Well today we are going to try talking out your problems." McGonagall stuttered at a loss for words over the bond Draco and Harry had. "Talking it out? Really?" Draco was getting heated again, so Harry placed a hand on his leg, instantly calming him again. "It isn't going to work Professor. I'm going to hate this child for what he did no matter what." He said a lot calmer this time. The professors were even more shocked, if that was possible. "Well we're going to try."

(Ron, Harry, Draco)

"Why did you hurt Harry?"
"I was angry"
"But what did I do?"
"You helped him! That's what you did! A filthy death eater! And you took away Hermione! I was going to ask her out this year but now I can't!"
"Ron listen. Draco is no more a death eater than I am. And as for Hermione, she's been taken since second year, so I did you a favour!"
"You need to apologise and keep your distance Weasel! You have no idea what you did to Harry after that! No idea! And I bet you'd hate yourself if you knew!"

It was then that Harry made a bold decision and lifted up his sleeve, revealing the numerous cuts, still raw and visibly bad. Snape and Draco had sad looks on their faces as they already knew, while Ron and McGonagall were in shock that Harry had done something like that to himself. "This is what you drove me to, Ron. You made me feel so much worse than I did, and this was the only thing I could do. But the pain you caused was too much. If Hermione and Draco hadn't found me, I'd be dead. I almost was." Harry was now crying silently. "The blood replenishment potions... they were for Potter?" Snape looked at Draco. "Yes sir, I wanted to protect him at all times, that's why I hid the reason, in case it made him spiral." He explained. "Do you mean what you said Mr Malfoy?" McGonagall spoke. "About protecting Mr Potter?"

"With my whole... yes, Professor. I do." Draco said. He had averted his gaze whilst he did. Harry, still crying, smiled gently as he realised he finally had someone who cared about him the most. "Ronald, are you going to stop and apologise?" McGonagall asked. "I'm not apologising to that traitor! Ever!" He yelled in response. "Then it's settled. Severus?" Snape pulled out a key. "You and Draco will now own that dormitory, as you both have trouble with your own houses." Harry looked over to Draco in surprise. He never said anything about there being trouble with the Slytherins. Although now he thought about it, none of the Slytherins like the Gryffindors so it makes sense. "Thank you so much Professor!" Both of the boys said. "You two are dismissed." And with that, they left to pack their things. They went to the Gryffindor common rooms first. "Hermione! Me and Dray get our own room!" Harry was so excited. "You can come any time except sleeping!" He said as he brought down his trunk. "I'll see you two later" Hermione smiled and hugged the boys goodbye. The Slytherin dorm was empty so they just gathered Draco's stuff and left to their new room.

"Goodnight Harry"

"Goodnight Draco"
