Michael blinked. "Business..?"
Bryan nodded. "Follow me to my office. We can discuss more there."
Michael frowned as he followed the older man. He watched as Helpy sped up to walk next to Bryan. She whispered something that Michael couldn't make out and Bryan scowled and shook his head. Michael wrapped his arms around himself. The tension in the air was thick and it was making him nervous. He glanced back and not Happy Frog, Lefty, or Freddy spoke as they walked behind him. By the time they reached the office Michael actually thought he might be sick from the tension.
Bryan sat behind the desk and took a breath. "Happy Frog? Lefty? Could you go and do something for me?" Bryan reached into his desk and pulled out a notepad where he scribbled something down and passed it to them.
Lefty tilted his head. "You want us to... Are you sure about this?"
"Honestly, no. But I really don't have a choice." Bryan forced a smile. "We have to take proper... precautions."
The two looked uncertain but nodded and left the room with out another word. Bryan sighed and turned to Michael, taking in his uncomfortable and nervous posture. He smiled gently.
"Hey, relax. We're just here to talk."
"Okay." Michael hid the skepticism that he felt and forced himself to relax.
"First thing," Bryan leaned back in his chair and crossed his arms, "what could we do to help you?"
Michael frowned at him. "What do you mean?"
It was Freddy who answered. "What is the most important thing for you to do in order to complete your quest?"
"Well..." Michael thought for a moment. "I don't really know but the best lead I have is finding the one who sent the twisted animatronics after me. But to do that I need info."
"Info?" Helpy frowned at him. Michael got the impression that the smaller bear didn't like him much.
"Yeah. I need to know what I'm up against. The twisted animatronics are not only an unknown variable, but they're also the only variable I can confirm."
Bryan frowned. "I guess that means we should tell you what we know about them huh?"
"It'd be appreciated."
Bryan shifted in his seat and turned to stare out the window. He sighed. "There isn't much we know ourselves." He admitted. "What we do know doesn't even directly correlate to them. It's as if we were tossed a bunch of puzzle pieces and we don't even know if they all go to the same puzzle."
Michael smirked. "I'm a child of Athena. Puzzles are my thing."
Bryan chuckled but it wasn't very genuine. "Alright. I'll start at the beginning. It was when a became a location owner for Fazbear Entertainment..."
Bryan spoke for about and hour, explaining all his experiences. From William Afton a CEO child murderer trapped in a springlock rabbit suit to Molten Freddy, a half melted endoskeleton with a split personality that tormented him and some of his other friends. (He was purposely vague about these other friends of his but Michael didn't push.) Eventually the story climaxed with his torture like experiences prior to that of coming face to face with William Afton as he once had been.
After Bryan finished Michael remained silent for a long moment. He let the CEO compose himself while he mentally sorted through all he'd been told. Bryan was right. There was so much information there that wasn't connected to each other, or if it was it would take time to figure out how. Still, it seemed that William Afton was definitely at the center of this as Bryan said the twisted were after him because of something Afton had said or done. That was the most basic level of info he had, so he decided to work off of that.
He spared a small smile for Bryan. "Thanks for telling me this." The other nodded slightly but his eyes had glued on to the window, staring out at the afternoon sky. Michael stood. "I have to think about this. I have some questions, a couple of suggestions, but for now I need to think." He sent a concerned glance at the bots. He meaningfully tilted his head towards Bryan and Freddy waved him off.
"We'll take care of him."
"Yeah. You just go." Helpy crossed her arms and glared.
Michael ignored her and nodded at Freddy. "I'll be in my hotel room."
After returning to his room Michael pulled out his note book and began writing out a few of his theories, starting with the basis of William Afton. He pondered if maybe the man had been in any connection with the being that had the twisted animatronics under it's thumb. It was possible seeing how much he'd used the portal, but it was unlikely. The twisted animatronics acted as though this was a new thing to them as well, so it's more probable that the being was as unknown to Afton as it was to Bryan. He made a note to ask Bryan if there was anytime they mentioned anything of the like.
He grew frustrated. Every lead he followed, ever theory he made, they all came back as either completely impossible or highly unlikely.
He groaned let himself fall back on the bed. "This ridiculous." He muttered tossing the notebook across the room. "It's like it doesn't fit! Like it-!" Michael cut himself off shooting back up. He stood and grabbed the notebook stepping out onto the balcony. "Like it doesn't belong..." He whispered as he slowly reopened the notebook. "I'm such an idiot!"
He wanted to slam his head against the wall. He'd been going about it all wrong! He'd gone in assuming that the thing had a reason to destroy this world. That it'd be linked to it in someway. As though it had a true motive. But maybe, just maybe, it didn't. It was trying to stop him because it wanted to destroy the worlds. Why did it want to destroy the worlds? What if there wasn't a reason? What if the only thing it craved, it's only incentive... was destruction?
He couldn't find the connection, because there wasn't one.
He felt like flinging himself over the balcony. He was right back where he started.
Well... that wasn't quite true. He now knew a bit more about the twisted animatronics. He had a more solid number and he knew murder wasn't their first goal. He had the outlining of a plan and that was all he needed for the moment. His next goal was to find them. He had some questions he wanted answered. He looked up at the sky and smirked. The sun was going down and it wouldn't be long until Bryan left. After he as gone the animatronics should go into charging modes (i.e. offline), and then he could make his move. He'd have to track them with only the direction he'd seen them run as a guide, but he was confident in his skills.
He wasn't sure how much longer he stood there staring out across the park, until he spotted Bryan and a few of the animatronics walking around below him. He waved at them, Bryan returning the gesture as he made his way out of the park. After he'd gone Freddy stood below him and called up.
"Bryan's gone home for the night. Will you be fine alone?"
Michael rolled his eyes. "I'm not a child!" He called back. "I'll be fine!"
Freddy seemed to study him for a moment. "Stay in your room until morning."
Michael held back his surprise before it could show. He shrugged. "Sure? I didn't plan on leaving anyways." He lied smoothly.
The bear stood still for a moment before he nodded and turned walking away. Michael scowled at his back. How had he known? Well now he has to make sure he avoids Bryan's animatronics as he tries to locate the twisted ones.
Stepping back into the room Michael laid on the bed and groaned. Why couldn't things ever be simple? He let his eyes fall shut. Might as well get some sleep before it's time to sneak out.
A/N: Hey y'all, hope you enjoyed this chapter. I just wanted to say that regarding Michael's update video on his channel where he said that Origins of Olympus would be coming back for a season two this will not include any thing from that when it eventually comes out. This will just continue from the let off of the first part.
Also i'm going to keep working of this but with COVID-19 now being found in my county things at work will probably pick up with people panicking so it'll most likely be a decent wait between updates. Well yeah, stay safe everyone. Peace!
