I met with them. Her, I mean. Her name was Candace. Candace Stone. The missing girl. Joe's ex-girlfriend. I wasn't sure why she wanted to meet. But after speaking with her, I knew exactly why.

"YOUR.. Candace.. right?" I said, sliding into the booth seat in the café corner. She turned to me, pulling off her black shades. "Yes." She said. "Why.. uh, why did you text me.. and how did you text me?" I had millions of questions and by the looks of it she'd be the one to answer them all.

"You don't need to know where I got your number, or how." She looked me in the eyes. "You are in grave, grave danger." I merely stared back at the woman. "Joe.. is special." She stated. I nodded, of course he was special, he was special and charming and charismatic and handsome.. I could list his perfections forever, but I felt as if the special she was talking about wasn't merely physical. "In short, he's crazy. He killed my record dealer." She watched me carefully. "What do you mean killed?" "He killed my record dealer. Pushed him off a roof. Explained to me that it was because I was cheating on him with Elijah. Now he thinks i'm dead." This was.. a lot to take in. Not bad news of course, just a few obstacles in the way of our relationship.

"Here are your drinks.. enjoy." I looked up to the woman setting our drinks onto to table. I nodded, smiling and turned back to Candace. She was stone faced. Honestly, I don't get how Joe dated any of these women. Beck was a mess, Candace cheated. I'm the only woman fit for him.

"Well? Aren't you going to say anything?" I snapped back to reality and answered Candace. "Well, Joe showed a few red flags.. but this isn't really a big deal. And, how do I know you're not lying..?" She looked at me as if I was insane. She opened her mouth to speak, then closed it again. Her hands glided to her drink and she took a sip, as if still comprehending what I just said. "I'm not sure you're getting what I just told you. He's crazy. He's a killer." I just stared back at her now. I had no problem with it, as I've had my fair share.. but I'm sure Candace might freak if I told her that. So I settled with this.

"If he really was a killer, wouldn't you have told the police by now? Got him arrested?" "Its not that easy-" I pulled out my wallet, taking out a few bills and set them on the table. I slid out the booth and made my way out the door. As I turned the street corner, I could see her, still bewildered to what had just happened.

"Joe.. it's our anniversary tomorrow.. where should we go?"

I turned to the man beside me, and he just stared back. "What? Is there something on my face?" He chuckled, shaking his head. "No.. No, you're just gorgeous.." I slapped him playfully. "I'm not lying!" He raised his hands in the air. I shook my head, a smile forming on my face. "Answer me! Where should we go?" He just smiled. "Don't worry about it.. just relax.." He said cheekily. I huffed, and rested on him.

It was our 1st anniversary. Yes, we had been dating for 1 year already. After my meetup with Candace.. she never texted me again. Seems I'd shocked her a little. But nevermind that. Tonights the night I reveal everything.
