Bigla kong naalala suot ko. OMG, nakabikini lang naman kasi ako and shorts! Nahiya talaga ako ng sobra! Pero glancing around, it was obvious all the girls were wearing the same thing, so medyo nagcalm down naman ako. But still, nakakahiya parin.
Unang nagsalita si Fort. "So you're from UST too? What course?"
I said "BS Medical Technology. It wasn't my first choice, but you know, parents' interventions can be very persuading" Yes, tama yan Kirsten, easy ka lang. Wag mong pakitang kinakabahan kang makausap silang dalawa.
Bigla naman sumingit si Teng "Really? Wow, ang hirap naman pala ng course mo! We have a future doktora here pala e! By the way, how do you know Kathleen?"
"Well, she's my ex teammate sa volleyball in our highschool before. But, she's also my bestfriend. Kayo? How'd you get so close to her without me knowing? No offense ha, usually kasi i'm also close with the people she knows. Alam mo naman, small world"
"Well we both met her through mutual friends talaga. Pero we see her at parties often so ayun, naging close na din somehow. Pero we never saw you before, why?" Tanong naman ni Fort.
"Kasi puro studies nalang ako every week eh. Alam niyo naman, sacrifice." Yung lame kong sagot.
After that, wala nang nagsasalita. Awkward silence ba. But thanks to Teng, he broke it.
"Kirs, can i call you that?" Um-oo naman ako. "Okay, Kirs! Do you want a beer too or are you a cocktail type of girl?"
"No, beer is fine with me. Choosy pa ba ako, eh the beer is free na nga" i said.
"Sige, i'll get you one. I'll be right back. Frt, bantayan mo muna, mukhang maraming nakatingin sa kanya eh" Teng said.
"Sige, pare. Ako na bahala. Don't worry, Kirs, we'll both look after you tonight." Sabi naman ni Fort.
And to think na akala ko meeting them was heaven, iba pa pala ito!
