I woke up with my mom banging on my door sa room screami for me to wakeup.
"Yes mom! I'm up na, don't worry!" Ugh, talk about wrong timing! Ang unfair naman eh. Kung kelan i was getting to the good part, dun pa ako magigising. But, oh well. That's life. And besides, sino ba naman ako para pansinin ng dalawang pinakagwapong lalaki sa UST, right? I was no one. Just a normal girl, going to school to study and earn a degree in Medical Technology.
I jumped out of bed, took a shower, and called my bestfriend Kath. "Kath, samanan mo naman ako sa UST. I have to go get my clearance and enroll na eh. Please? I'll make you libre lunch."
Kath said "Oh, okay! But i was planning to hang out with a few friends today e. Do you think they can tag along?"
Eh kesa umangal pa ako, i just said "Sure, that's fine. As long as hindi sila kasama sa panlibre ko ng lunch ha!?"
Biglang sabi naman ni Kath, "Ofcourse, ofcourse! I'm sure di rin sila papayag magpalibre sayo. Don't worry, they're really nice and friendly. You'll get along with them just fine."
"Okay then, i'll pick you up na ha." I said sabay biglang baba ng cellphone.
I decided to put on a little makeup today. Concealer, foundation, eyeliner, and blush. Okay na yan. Para naan hindi masabi ng friends ni Kath na hindi ako marunong magayos. I hopped in my car and went straight to Kath's house which was a few blocks away lang. Kaya ang dali mahila eh, halos magkapitbahay lang kami. When i pulled over, andon na siya nagaantay sa swing in their garden.
"Kath, come on! Malelate na ako." Sabay pagpasok niya sa loob ng car. As usual, nakinig lang kami sa music and chatted. Hindi ko lang kasi talaga masabi pa sa kanya yung panaginip ko tungkol kanila Jeric kasi.. Nahihiya ako.
Alam ko bestfriend ko siya, pero kasi aasarin nanaman niya ako na wala pa akong boyfriend ever since.. Si John. But that's another story. While si Kath, super happy go lucky.. Magkaboyfriend diyan, fling doon, ako.. Mas serious. I don't like getting my heart briken or hurting others either. I guess, i was jsut waiting for the right one. Or maybe, umaasa pa ako sa panaginip ko na magkatotoo. Grabe, kakaibang kahibangan na ata ito.
When we got to UST, nagpark ako malapit sa church since for once, opened siya. Good! Swerte ko naman today. Biglang narinig kong nagring yung cellphone ni Kath.
"Uh yeah, we're here na....do you want to meet sa may church nalang....okay sige....i'll go to you na since my friend's going to enroll pa.... Sige see you in a while" narinig kong paputol putol na sagot ni Kth sa kausap niya. "Kirs, i-meet ko lang muna sila since di naman ako pwedeng pumasok with you to enroll, okay?"
Wala naman akong nagawa kung hindi pumayag kasi tama nga naman siya. Kesa naman magintay siyang magisa. "Sige, i'll call you when i'm done so i can meet up with you guys na rin"
So nagkahiwala na kami sa church. Pumunta na akong Sem. Gym to enroll. Buti nalang wala masyadong tao. While walking to the part where there was the encoding and payment of tuition fees, meron akong narinig na dalawang babe naguusap.
"Uy alam mo ba, nagtweet si Fortuna na andito na daw siya sa Lacson in his dorm! Baka makita pa natin siya!" Sobrang kinikilig na pagkasabi nung girl na mas maliit sa kasama niya.
"Wala ka! Si Teng naman, nakauwi na from Bacolod! May labas nga ata sila ngayon eh. Manonood ng movie? Ay ewan! Pero sana nga masulyapan man lang natin sila!"
In my head, i was thinking the same thing. If they were actually here, sana nga i would atleast get to see them. Sana my "luck" would permit me to do so.
Pagkatapos ko magbayad, tinawagan ko na si Kath "Kath, where are you na? I'll go to you guys." Sabi ko.
"We're here sa may harap ng carpark. Can you just pick us up with your car? May emergency eh." Sabi ni Kath.
"Emergency? Okay, okay! I'll be right there." Sabay pagapasok sa kotse and drive sa harap ng carpark. Paglapit ko naman, nakita ko na super a lot of people were there. I don't understand. May nabangga ba? Nahimatay or something? Pagkita ko kay Kath, agad agad kong binuksan yung doors ng car ko, and pumasok na sila. I didn't even get to see their faces kasi they were in such a hurry.
"Kirsten, let's go now! Drive faster ha!" Sabi naman ni Kath without even introducing me to her friends. Pero okay, drive fast i did. I noticed the crowd was looking at my car, so i asked.. "Kath, why are they looking at us? Did you do something wrong again that i have to know about?"
Ang sabi naman niya, "Oh, no! you got it all wrong, Kirs. I think it's cause of my friends? The girls were all so excited to meet them eh!" She said very cheerfully. Her friends? Bakit, sino ba friends niya para pagkaguluhan ng ganoong kadaming tao? Artista ba sila?
"Sorry for my rudeness, Kirsten, meet my friends.. Jeric Teng and Jeric Fortuna. Two of your school's basketball players in the UAAP"
OMG. Daig pa artista. Kapag sinuswerte ka nga naman.
