I knew this was my lucky day! Feeling ko i was hyperventilating already. The two guys i had the biggest crushes on, inside my car, with me, about to go have lunch with my bestfriend and i. Could this get any better? Kirsten! Get a grip. You're driving! Ayaw mo naman siguro masaktan sila, right? So, focus on the road.
I was trying my best to act naturally and compose myself so i merely said "Hi", and they, in turn, both said "Hey".
Wait lang! I've been in this situation before! Talk about DejaVu. Ito yung nangyari sa dream ko ha. Dito nagstart lahat iyon.. No! I'm just thinking too much. Asa naman na totoong mangyayari yung panaginip ko, diba? But still, ito na nga sila eh.. Ugh, Kirsten. Chill and relax. Go with the flow and don't let yourself get the better of you.
I was in such deep thought, debati with myself, that i din't realize that Kath was already asking if i was fine. "Kirs, are you okay? You seem pretty flushed." She said.
"No, i'm fine. Don't worry about me, i'm just trying to focus on the road. We wouldn't want anything to happen to these two boys, right? A lot of girls would be so willing to kill me if i ever scratched them, in the least" i joked around saying.
"Don't worry, i'm sure Fort and I wouldn't allow that to happen to you! A friend of Kath's is a good friend of ours too :)" Teng said.
Here we go again! That's exactly what they said in my dream! Maybe, just maybe, if i play my cards right, my dream wouldn't have to end being just a dream after all. But what i noticed that compared to my dream, Fort was awfully quiet. He wasn't as much of a joker now than he was before. So i decided to break the ice.. "So, Fort right?" He nooded in response. " How does it feel to know that you've got less than a year left in UST? I'm sure babahain nanaman UST sa kakaiyak ng pagkadami daming girls in our school when you leave." I said trying to make the atmosphere lighter.
He smiled at my words. That sweet, captivating smile that can easily make any girl's knees go weak. "Well, ofcourse it's heartbreaking on my part, too. Since i've been living the dream these past few years, it'll be hard getting used to not being in UST anymore after i graduate. But i'll visit lots, though so no worries sa pagbabaha ng mataas." Sabi naman ni Fort.
"Okay, atleast i know na hindi ikaw sisisihin ko if ever totoo ngang magbaha sa uste. Anyway, where to guys? San niyo gusto kumain ng lunch?" Sabi ko.
"If you guys want na medyo onti lang yung tao and not a lot of fans, let's just head to Shangri-la. We can eat sa Tender Bob's and maybe watch a movie after? If you girls are game?" Teng sugested.
"But isn't this medyo awkward? Haha. Two girls and two guys? It'd look like a double date to other people for sure!" Kath kiddingly said. And as if by cue, her cellphone rang. She answered it with a frown on her face, and i could only guess who it could be. Who else but her arrogant boyfriend. I hinestly do not know why she puts up with him in the first place. "What? ... But i'm out with friends..fine..okay, i said okay already!.. Yeah, okay.. Love you too"
Kathleen was in a stump telling us "guys, i'm sorry something came up. I have to meet up with Mikey once i get ot Shang. Kirs, would it be fine? I really couldn't say no. But! You guys go ahead with the movie and lunch! Don't let my absence stop you guys from having fun."
"Like i said, kami na bahala sa bestfriend mo, Kath! We'll both take care of her. Sayang naman kasi she drove us all the way here" Teng said as we arrived sa Shang.
"Okay. Great! Drop me off here nalang sweetie! You guys enjoy ha, but not too much! See you when i see you!" Kath said as she got down na sa car. Seeing her wave goodbye as we headed straight up the parking lot made me nervous as hell. With her getting down the car, Fort came to sit beside me as to not make me seem like just a driver to he, both. Wow, true gentlemen they were.
Teng and i were chatting happily and rather noisily and Fort was still quiet. He looked so confused and in disbelief. I want to know what was in his head though..
I nudged Fort asking him "Hey, are you alright?" He looked at me rather longingly.. Wait. Longingly? I's not as if he has feelings for you, weirdo! You're imagining things again. Oh, Lord, please let this not be a dream again :(
Fort said quietly.. "Does this feel kind of like DejaVu to you too?"
WHAT! It can't be. Is it possible? Is it possible that maybe, he had the same dream as mine too?
