Kirsten's POV:
He said it! He finally admitted it. The dream that started it all.. It came true. Dreams do come true!
"Do you mean to tell me?.." I started off.
"Yes, i've dreamt about you before i even met you. I know, it sounds strange and all, but please let me explain.." He said defensively.
"No need, Fort. I totally understand. I had it too.."
We looked into each others eyes and i couldn't help it. It was as if there was a magnet hidden between him and i.. I leaned in closer, and for a second i thought he did too.
But he backed away. What? Why did he? I was so confused.
"We should take this slow. One step at a time, yes?" I agreed by nodding my head. "You haven't even told me what YOU felt. All i know is that you and Teng seemed pretty comfy around each other kanina." He sounded pretty jealous for someone unsure of is feelings! It was too cute.
"I knew you before you even met me. I dreamt of you too. Some would say that i was a die-hard for of both you and Teng, but i never acted upon it. No pictures, presents, and whatnot like the other girls. Just pure admiration." He smiled at this. "But.. Now that i've become so close to you both, hindi rin ako makadesisyon sa feelings ko. I have feelings for you both.." This time, his smile faded. Pahabol ko namang inexplain na.. "I just want to make sure which feelings are for who."
"What do you mean?" Ang tanong naman niya sa akin.
"I mean, i want to make sure whom my feelings of friendship and love belong to. If the latter is for you or Teng. Do you get it? Cause as of now, i feel for the both of you. You both make my knees go weak and my heart flutter." I looked at him seriously. "You're right. Let's take this slow.." I ended.
"Okay. I agree. It is for the best." And with that, he hugged me tight and left a soft kiss upon my cheek. "But for the record, i know i'm attracted to you, Kirsten Montemayor. Don't you ever forget that."
i never imagined that it would feel this good. Hearing those words come from his mouth. It was too good to be true, but i pray to God that it wouldn't end.. At least not yet.
Fort's POV:
She was so beautiful that night.. After i admitted to her my feelings, i felt like the burden on my shoulders was gone. It felt relaxing, at least now i know i could sleep peacefully. Albeit unknowingly, i'm pretty sure i'll dream happily as well cause she's going to be in it.
I took her home afterwards, in order to make sure she got home safe. We said our goodbye's and separated ways. Now, it's time for the truth.. I dialed a number. This was to set the record straight..
Teng's POV:
It was no surprise to me that Fort called me to meet up with him, and so i did. As he came closer into view sa dorm, i know he didn't want to pick a fight. Instead, he wanted to levelheadedly talk things out.
"Papi, sorry sa kanina. Nabigla lang ako." Sinabi niya sa akin.
"Okay lang yon, paps. Oh, ano? Inamin mo na ba kay Kirsten na may gusto ka sa kanya?" Tanong ko naman kay Fort.
Napaupo siya sa tabi ko at sabay tingin sa malayo. "Oo pre, parang ganon na nga. But we decided to take things slow. Para sure. Alam mo na, baka magkasakitan pa kasi e. sayang yung friendship.. Speaking of friendship.. Paps, may gusto ka din ba sa kanya?"
Nagulat naman ako sa tanong niya. Meron nga ba akong gusto kay Kirsten? Sure, i feel like protecting her all the time. Kumikirot puso ko everytime nakikita ko siyang malungkot. It wouldn't be half bad kung maging kami, so i think.. "Parang oo rin, Paps e. Pero, you had your eyes on her first, alam ko yon." Inalala ko naman yung una naming pagkakakilala kay Kirsten. "Pagtungtong mo palang sa kotse niya the first time, hindi mo na natanggal tingin mo sa kanya."
Napakamot naman ng ulo itong si Fort. "Napansin mo pala iyon? Ewan ko ba, Teng. There's just something about her e. Siya yung tipo na inuuwi sa parents, at inaalagaan." Siryoso namang pagkasabi niya.
"I know how you feel, pare. Pero, i'm being serious din here ha. I'm relying on you to take care of her. I'll be here for her, pero i won't make moves on her. But you have to promise me one thing.." Tinignan ko sa mata si Fort at sinabing.. "Huwag na huwag mo siyang sasaktan. Kasi once na ginawa mo iyon, hinding hindi ko na siya ibabalik sayo.."
Itaga mo sa bato iyan, Fort. Kaibigan kita, pero ibang usapan na kapag tungkol kay Kirsten.
