The Unforgettable Night

From downstairs, Sehun's loud sobs and wails could be heard. As the older boy rushed into the bedroom, he was greeted by Sehun's scrunched up body in a corner, and the shiny object enclasped in his hands caught his attention.

And in front of Sehun lay a pool of crimson blood.

Seeing Sehun in this grievous state caused his heart to constrict.

He rushed over, holding the younger boy up. "What the hell, Sehun?" -

"Go away! Leave me," Sehun yanked away the older's arms, gripping the pocket knife tightly. "Give that to me," Luhan said sternly, his doe-like eyes staring right into Sehun's. "I know it's painful, I know what it feels like to lose someone you love, someone...like Jongin." A surge of guilt coursed through Luhan's veins as he mentioned the name.

To hide his own tears, he pulled Sehun in for an embrace. -

"He was fucking murdered, a total of 3 gunshots in his body! I've known Jongin ever since I was born, how do you expect me to deal with this?" The words that Sehun said only managed to intensify Luhan's guilt. "Luhan, can you just shut up and leave me alone?" Sehun screamed, pushing the older away and gesturing for him to get out of the room. -

Pursing his lips, Luhan contemplated for a moment. He stood up solemnly. "I was the one who killed Jongin."

A silence ensued. "W-what? You, killed Jongin...?" Sehun's entire body started to tremble, in the process dropping the blade. "Because I hated him."

Luhan confessed, looking down in shame. "Jongin was the one who took you from me. He was the one you loved.

He was the one who never fails to make you laugh or smile. And too bad because the 'he' will never ever be me." Luhan stammered out those words, entire body enveloped In guilt, and he let the tears prickle at the corners of his eyes.

"I hate you, Luhan." Sehun darted towards the older boy, throwing a punch at his jaw.

Biting his lips to stop himself from groaning out in pain, Luhan pulled out a gun from the drawer beside him. "This was the gun that I used to kill Jongin." He let the gun rest on his palm, as he held it out. "Do you remember the phrase I always said to you?" Luhan smiled bitterly, causing Sehun's heart to ache a little, despite how he hated his hyung for killing Jongin.

"Darkness cannot drive out darkness, and hate cannot drive out hate." Before Sehun could reach for the gun, Luhan pulled it back. "Only love can." He said meekly.

Brandishing the revolver, Luhan held it up to his temple. -

"I've always loved you, Sehun. Goodbye." He pulled the trigger.

Sehun watched in horror as the gun went 'bang'. -
