Leaning back in his chair, his feet crossed over on the edge of his desk Arnold flipped through his news paper. He lifted his head to the sound of his office door opened revealing Sweeney Todd and the rest of his men following the barber inside his office which was in a small establishment in London city.
Shutting his paper he removed his feet off his desk and pulled himself up right in his chair smirking towards them all. He had been waiting for their return, wanting to know if the assassination went well.
There in Sweeney's hand was an envelope and as Arnold watched the barber head towards his desk Sweeney threw down the envelope containing sensitive documents. This is what he had been doing the last 3 months, killing off men of all those greater and in power. He had murdered 7 men in total all of which he was able to bring back money and secret documents.
Did he enjoy this? Absolutely not. He hated going back to his old roots after promising his wife to burry their past and make a better life for their daughter. Many a times Sweeney made the wrong move were Arnold and his men were concerned, whether it be speaking back or lashing out. All of them were quick to beat him or threaten Nellie with unspeakable things. Things no woman should ever have to endure.
However, out of Arnold's men only 3 of them were heartless like him, Trevor being the worst of a bad bunch as well as Tom and Mitch. However the quiet one named Pat seemed a little more forgiving towards Sweeney. He didn't understand and never thought to ask but when Arnold ordered Pat to beat him up, Pat took him out side and threw a punch at his face and nothing else.
Pat at the time mumbled something under his breath which Sweeney had worked out to be something like "that way it looks like I've done my job" Sweeney was sure Pat meant that by giving him a black eye would make it look like he had beaten him badly like asked to. Pat was sparing him, maybe he took pity on him but Sweeney didn't know as he was so hard to work out, however he was grateful Pat didn't go any further and simply left him be.
Flicking through the documents Sweeney could see the joy it brought to Arnold's cold eyes.
"How many more?" Sweeney mumbled hoarsely looking tired and rather unhealthy due to the poor treatment and lack of sleep.
Lifting his gaze Arnold frowned "more what?" He hissed through his teeth. He was sick of Sweeney constantly pestering him about going back to his home. This was far from over!
"More murders? I've been here 3 months with no word on how my wife and daughter are....at least allow me to see if they are ok"
Laughing at the barber Arnold leaned back in his chair and continued to flick through the documents. "Your wife is fine Mr Todd, in fact she's doing very well" he smirked to which the other men all laughed along making Sweeney's blood boil at what they all seemed to know and he didn't.
"Yeah very well boss" Mitch chuckled loudly which had Sweeney feeling for his razor in his pocket.
"How well Mitch?" Arnold entertained the matter.
"She's fucking someone new Mr Todd, that's what!"
Mitch continued to laugh which had Sweeney whizzing round and throwing the bastard to the wall. Clutching his collar Sweeney pressed his razor against the mans throat hissing through his teeth in rage before dragging the razor along the mans throat much to everyone utter surprise. There was no mercy anymore, Sweeney had become the Demon he had locked away for a few years and he was back!
Blood sprayed across Sweeney's face not that he cared. He dropped Mitch's dead body and turned to Arnold his razor gleaming with the mans blood.
"He was only joking" Arnold said with a sigh before sitting back down in his chair as if he didn't care too much either way that his friend was dead or alive.
