Keeping a cautious eye on the room Nellie continued to dance with Sweeney in the grand hall. She couldn't help but feel a little anxious, after all these men were depending on her to get the job done. Every time she would spot Arnold he seemed to be looking around for this Walter guy who supposedly had slept with his wife. Yet even after 10 minutes of dancing with Sweeney it looked as if Walter may not be here.

"Are you alright Pet?" She heard Sweeney ask clearly noticing the wondering look in her eyes.

"Yes love, just wonderin' if the blighter is even ere? Arnold hasn't approach us yet..feel a bit anxious bout the whole thing" she admitted as Sweeney lead her around the dance floor.

"Nothing's gonna harm you" he whispered squeezing her tighter against him. She smiled up at him and knew in his eyes just how much he meant that. He really did make her feel so protected and loved...

"Nellie?" Both of them turned at the sound of her name. Gulping slightly seeing David standing there Nellie tried not to make herself look uncomfortable at all. But she was in a way...

"Ello' dear..." she said almost awkwardly slowly breaking away from Sweeney. David continued to smile at her even as she pulled around her shawl Sweeney had so kindly stolen for her earlier. David eyed her up which didn't pass Sweeney's eyes, immediately he felt his blood boil.

"How are you? I was going to ask you to come tonight but it seems you already have a date?" David said extending his hand to Sweeney. Eyeing him in hate Sweeney shook his hand roughly and watched as Nellie seemed to look a little flustered and awkward by this whole encounter.

"I'm her brother" Sweeney spoke up which had her looking at him as if he were mad. Just what the hell was he doing?! Suddenly she could feel her insides twisting, just what on earth was going on!

"Oh a pleasure sir, your name?" David asked not noticing the tension between both Nellie and Sweeney.

"Benjamin" he smiled yet was ever so fake.

Looking to the floor Nellie found herself frowning hard wondering what he was up too. Why did he lie? Why did he say he was her brother of all things?

"Well it's great to meet a member of Nellie's family, it's nice she has a brother around to keep an eye on her, after what her bastard of a husband did to her"

Inwardly cursing Nellie cringed rather visibly after David said that. She could sense the amusement and irritation radiating off her husband. She wanted the ground to just swallow her up, never had anything been this uncomfortable in her life.

"I know, if only I could get my hands on him...bloody kill him for what he did" Sweeney added seeming to enjoy this as he ran his arm around his supposed sister and kissed her temple. Nellie had to try and refrain from glaring at him as he did this.

"Then that makes two of us" David chuckled taking Nellie's hand only to see she was wearing her wedding ring. Spotting this he looked at her and frowned.

"Still hurts.....tis all I ave to remind me off e'm" she played along being the terrific liar she was. If she looked her husbands way she was sure he would be smirking towards her yet she did her best not to look at him to find out.

Moving closer David noticed she seemed a little uneasy and so kissed her knuckles. "He doesn't deserve you even thinking about him, I wish you could only realise you don't need him" Gulping again Nellie braved a smile and sighed in relief when he let go of her hand. His eyes were so warm and his handsome features made her nervous, receiving attention from good looking men never came her way after all.

"This is quite the place ya ave here David" Nellie said quickly changing the subject. Sweeney also found this amusing knowing how well she was at switching topics when she felt uncomfortable.
