I didn't really know which restaurant Luke was taking me. I tried calling him but he wouldn't pick up. I decided to wear a light blue blouse and white high-waisted shorts. Not too formal and not too lame. I was starting to get used to these kind of clothes and I actually liked it.
Luke messages me that he was already waiting downstairs. I'm excited for this.
I exit the building and see Luke leaning back on his car. He looked great- as usual- and it's like he didn't have to try because he'll always look good.
"Hey, Joey. You look... you look great." Luke smiles, eyeing me from head to toe.
"I tried. You look great." I nod in an approval. "But a red flannel again?"
"It gets the ladies." He smirks, adjusting the collar of his flannel.
I forced a smile. I knew he was kidding but I felt bad.
"Just kidding." He chuckles and opens the car door for me.
I thank him before entering the car. He closes the door and jogs to the other side. Once we were both settled, Luke starts the car and drives downtown.
"Where are we going?" I ask.
He raises the volume of the radio higher and winks at me. I roll my eyes at his action and rest my head on the window. King For A Day by Pierce the Veil and Kellin Quinn played loudly in the car and we both sang quietly to it.

We arrive at a restaurant I've seen a few times. Luke holds my hand and I freaking blush. It's another thing I missed about being with Luke.
A group of girls crowded the front. Once they saw Luke, they started screaming and running towards us and we were separated. The girls asked him for pictures and throw the most insane questions like: Where's Chloe? Who's that slut you were with last night? Don't tell me she's another groupie!
What the hell is a groupie?
I just stand at the side and watch as the girls increased. Looking at this, I never felt so out of place.
I decided that it was time to save Luke from his misery and make my way through the crowd. I'm not kidding when I say it was hard.
I grabbed Luke's wrist and pulled him with me. He looked so flustered and afraid and I immediately felt bad. A few guards rescued the both of us and I felt Luke break free from my hold and reach for my hand.
The girls followed us as we enter the restaurant but the guards didn't let them in.
"Are you okay?" I asked him once we were seated.
"Yeah." He runs a hand through his hair and lets out a breath. "Ashton usually helps me get through crowds like that." His voice was shaky. I noticed that our hands are still entwined with each other's.
"You're not used to it?"
"Never will." He quickly says. I notice how he's shaking a little bit.Man, I always knew he was afraid of crowds, he told me before, but I thought he got over it. Guess not.
"It's okay, Luke." I smile in attempt to calm him down.
"Sorry, this should be a great night. Don't worry about me." He smiles but it looked forced.
"Let's order then?" I asked, changing the topic so he doesn't have to think about it anymore.
"Yeah." He nods, opening the menu book. He still looked scared so I gave his hand a squeeze and he glances up at me.
I never felt so bad for anyone before. For the past two years we didn't contact, I never bothered to keep myself updated with him; How he's doing or if he's been eating more again. All I did was mope around and not get over him. It was hard to get over him because I never felt so forgotten and used.
