Pools of Blood

~Ex~

I struggled against the restraints that held my body captive. Some cloth covered my vision. All I know is that we aren't at the ring anymore. My moves are almost completely restricted by the ropes, cutting off blood circulation. My mouth was dry so I didn't even try to scream. I know exactly what's going on.

This isn't my first kidnapping. And this won't be my first escape. I try my hardest to move my fingers, just so I could get a feel for my surroundings. Since my mouth was not covered up, I moved my head and pushed it to the back, pulling the cloth off my eyes. It fell to my neck and as expected, I was in a car trunk. Hopefully they're bad at this kind of thing.

I looked down at my body, they sure know how to tie ropes. Looking around in the dark I notice that they left the emergency pull on. I have to get free first, using all my strength to pull my hands up and then in one quick movement I slipped my hands out of the rope. Using my now free hands, I untie the ropes around my waist and then my ankles.

Free at last, I search for any of my belongings. Nothing. I can't waste another second so I pull the emergency pull and once it opens a slit, I push the lid open and jump out. The car is stopped and I recognize the location. It's the same cabin I found 'Betty' in. That feels like forever ago.

I walked around to the drivers' side. Quietly I got in, the gang taught me a lot of things, and for that I am grateful. That being said, it still doesn't make what they did to me and the other girls right. I hot-wire the car and raced out of the forest. Looking through the mirrors I see two tall men in suits running towards the car, that just made me push down on the pedal.

Once I got out of the forest, I hightailed it back to the ring. I found a quick route and made it back. I jumped out of the car and rushed inside.

I blinked many times before keeping my eyes open. Sitting up I see Nora pacing across the room, her phone stuck to her ear. Rhydian was comforting Sophia who was bawling her eyes out. I was beyond confused, what happened while I was out cold?

Nora got off the phone and ran a hand through her hair. "What happened?" I ask, my voice low and husky with sleep. Sophia got up and ran to me, she pulled me into a tight hug and cried into my neck. "What's wrong?"

She took a deep breath but never looked up, "They took her." Her voice barely above a whisper. "She's gone."

I buried my head in her hair and cried along with her. Our sister was taken away from us, right damn under us! She was the smallest out of the three. She doesn't deserve to go through any of this again.

Rhydian got up and began to talk to Nora, I couldn't give them any attention, the only thing on my mind was how I let everyone down. "I'm so sorry Ex, it's all my fault." I felt a hand on my head but I thought it was just Sophia. Then I heard her voice.

"None of this is your fault." I lifted my head up along with Sophia. There she stood as if nothing ever happened. We stood up and pulled her into a hug. "You don't have to worry anymore." She tugged on my hair with one hand and brought us closer with her other.

I didn't even care how she got back, I just cared that she was back in my arms, safe. After a few seconds, Ex pulled away and started to look around the room. We all gave her a questioning look, but she didn't notice as she tore the room apart. Her eyes landed on a gun and she picked it up in a rush. "This ends now." She checked the gun and made sure it had bullets. Then she went to the locker room and opened her locker.

Ex pulled out all kinds of throwing knives and stuck them around the waistband of her leggings. We all followed her around in worry, she can't seriously be thinking about ending someone's life. I tried to pull the gun from her hands but she was stronger and pulled it back. "Where's Conna?" She faces all of us, an expectant look on her face. When we didn't respond, she frowned and stepped closer, "Where is Conna."

We looked at each other, who's going to tell her? "She knocked Dean out and ran with the man she met up with. We couldn't help him because we lost communication due to a blackout." We faced Rhydian, he skipped a few parts, but even he knows to be careful of his words. Ex turned to me and I saw pain fill her eyes. She hated to know that a friend got hurt.

We heard something fall to the floor. Immediately Ex's gaze turned cold and lifeless. She knew exactly who it was. She rushed us to the roof of the building and locked the door behind us. They saw our plan. They banged on the door, Ex stood holding it shut.

Everything went silent, but Ex didn't move, then we heard it. Six shots were fired and they all hit Ex as she held the door shut. She gritted her teeth in agony but still didn't move. Pools of blood quickly took their place making her clothes stick to her skin. Ex fired three shots of her own, we hear a large body fall with a big thud when they hit the floor.

She stayed by the door for another minute before limping her way over to the edge of the roof. Ex didn't say anything as she fired three more shots. We heard a loud thud hit the road below us. Even Nora, Sophia, and I were shocked that she killed someone, so imagine Rhydian's face when he looks over the edge and sees a lifeless body.

One hand on the gun and the other pressing hard against her wound to hold back the blood. She was losing too much, she wouldn't be able to make it much farther. Ex turned to us and smiled, are you crazy this is no time to smile! Ex fell to the floor, her eyes rolling back, drifting out of consciousness.
