The Ring

"And E.N.D. wins again!" The crowd went wild as I threw my last punch and knocked my opponent out. I wore a black hoodie to hide my identity from the curious eye of the full arena, and perusal, I wore my black leggings so that I would have the most mobility I could without flashing everyone.

Last opponent for the night and I won, obviously. Now we can investigate all the other fighters tonight. Nora did get us clearance to the back area but I would have a few fights here and there. Honestly, I'm glad that I have a few fights, I haven't gotten to beat the shit out of someone and get paid for it. I also need this money.

"Good work!" Nora handed me my water bottle and I gladly took it from her and chugged half of it down. "Now we can enter."

Rhydian wasn't allowed in the back as the owner didn't know him but he got front row seating. That's something, right? I understand that violence causes him trauma but he's persistent in making us agree to him helping us more. Rhydian is on lookout so if he sees anyone that matches the drawing of 'him' then he'll let us know over a message.

It's been over two weeks now and still no sign of him. I'm starting to think that I need to have another friendly chat with our little friend Conna. Just to get things straight, you know, no giving out wrong information. Dean's made sure that she's on a tight leash, just so we don't have her opening her mouth to dear old daddy. Damn little bitch can't keep anything closed.

I peeked around the corner to see if Rhydian was still here and he wasn't. He can't just get up and leave a place like this. "Dean, where did Baines go?" He gave me a small smirk but I looked at him pointedly. This is no time to joke around.

"He's fine. Rhydian just left the seats to come down here. Don't worry we asked if he could be down here." I sighed in relief and walked over to my little locker. I slid out of my hoodie and slipped on a black t-shirt.

"Ok, I'm back." I turned around to see that Rhydian was pinning Conna to the wall.

"Are you sure that you're his daughter? I mean, he always said that you were stronger than all of us." She narrowed her eyes at me and tried to get out of Rhydian's hold. I signaled for him to let her go, he stepped aside and as soon as he did, Conna made a dash for the exit. "Not so fast little rabbit." I had thrown a knife and it just so happened to hit the back of her right shoulder blade. "Shit, my bad. It slipped." I said in a cold and emotionless tone but who cares because she was following my orders.

I pulled out the blade and began to clean her wound, luckily for her I know how to control every aspect of my weapon. "So when is he coming?" Sophia asked as I was still bandaging her up. I didn't even realize she was here.

"I do-" She was cut off. Conna looked up at me and I nodded my head to tell her that she could answer her phone. "Daddy!" She said in a high pitched, spoiled bitch kind of way. "Friday of next week. No, that's perfect, she'll be ready by then." We all looked at each other and then at her, who would be ready? "Love you, daddy!" She hung up and looked up at me. "He'll be here Thursday of next week, Friday is when he plans to set up a fight with their number one." I ran a hand through my already messy hair and leaned against the wall.

Some of the other contestants began to enter the locker room so we left and went back to my house. Today was long and my muscles were sore from all the action in the ring.

Four days had gone past in a flash and I've been spending my time training for this fight. Saturday Nora received a call asking if I was up for a fight on Friday and we accepted knowing that it was my old gang leader. I worked my butt off and it all went well. Knowing him though he would cheat and bring a weapon or something so I prepared myself with extra training.
