"What the hell."

As the others walked inside they took steps back. The girls gasp in shock, covering their mouths. Rhydian just quietly cursed under his breath, his arms holding the girls close.

"Oh lord, please say it's not so!" Sophia cried, turning around and crying into Rhydian's chest. "She did this. Ex killed them all."

We all looked at her and then back to the scene that lay in front of us. Sophia is right, Ex did do this, almost all shots were in the heads of the dead. I began to walk towards the stairs, the sound of the blood swishing under my shoes. Rhydian slowly pushed Sophia and Nora to follow. We stood at the top looking down at the mess that was left behind.

I've never seen this place before but I sure as hell know that the floor isn't red.

Nora tapped on my shoulder and pointed down at the carpet we stood on. A small blood trail could be seen leading into a room. The door was shut with a lock. I had a feeling Sophia knew what that door led to because she started to walk towards it. She looked at it with a faraway look before turning to me and telling me to break it down.

When I did, I stepped aside and let Soph lead the way as we slowly followed behind her and we all stood at the entrance.

The blood trail was up to the bed where a small puddle of the red stuff was absorbed into the sheets. A medicine kit lay on the bed with bandage wrappers around in and disinfectant wipes stained in a dark red.

Sophia stepped into the room, giving us room to look around. I noticed that the window was open, letting a small breeze into the area. The windowsill had red handprints on it. This is how she escaped. Rhydian joined me by the window, he ran his hand across the windowsill. When he lifted his hand, dust particles fell off and blood drops ran down his arm. We shared a look and walked out of the room, the girls following close behind.

"That was her old room, she hated it," Sophia said, her eyes trained on the floor.

"Why would she kill all of them?" We faced Nora, thinking of ways to answer her. Nothing came to mind.

"We should get out of here if cops come they might get the wrong idea."

"Dean's right but also, Ex might return and we don't know how she'll react to us."

The girls nodded their heads. In a way to comfort, I pulled everyone in for a hug.

I felt something cold being pressed against my head. Everyone pulled away and I raised my hands up slowly. I wanted to turn around but I was too scared to do it. Looking over at Nora, she whispered a few words, 'It's Ex.' I closed my eyes and swallowed down the lump in my throat.

"What are you all doing here?" Ex pushed the gun to my head when I didn't answer.

"Ex, we just came here to see you. Please, come back with us."

"You saw me, now leave before I blow his brains out."

Nora, Sophia, and Rhydian walked around me and down the stairs. Ex walked in front of me and signaled me to go. I gave her a pleading look before walking away.

She doesn't remember...
