The Black Fire (A Fire Force Fanfiction)

Chapter 01

Tokyo Year 180

It was a normal peaceful night. I was fast asleep when I was woken up to the sound of my moms shriek, then In-sued by the smell of smoke. I quickly jumped up and swung my door open too see the house was on fire and burning.

I rushed down the hallway my mind racing, 'Why was the house on fire? Why did my mother scream? Is my She okay?'.

I kept running till I got to my now burning living room and saw my Mom struggling to fight off a strange man in white. "Mom!", I shouted which got there attention.

"Ren! Honey, Run! Run!", My mom yelled to me.  I froze as I watched My mom get lifted in the air by her throat by the Man. She was clawing and scratching at his face but Suddenly I heard a sickening Snap.

He dropped her motionless body to the ground. "Mom?...Mom!", I shouted trying to get her to move. Another strange Person in white, this time a woman came in talking to the man.

I didn't understand there conversation but what I did hear was, "Get the girl and use the bug, Hameua is waiting for us".

Thats when It hit me. She was Gone. Everything drowned out at that moment and I could hear my heart beating faster and faster in my ears.

Soon I felt instead of confusion, it was replaced with Anger. A Un-natural Anger. My body started getting hotter and hotter not noticing flames were spurting from me.

"No...NO!!!!!!!!".

Present Day Tokyo, Year 198

"Now arriving at Tabata Station", The voice announced. I stopped reading the book in my hand and put it in my bag. I got up from my seat and shuffled out the doors with a bunch of other people.

The sunlight hit my face as I stared out at the huge city infront of me. "I can't believe I'm finally here", I mumbled. Reaching into my back pocket I pulled out a folded piece of paper. I unfolded it and it read, "Assigned to Company 8 Don't forget!".

"Alright! Let's do this", I said as I started walking to find there Cathedral.

It was a normal day for Company 8. Shinra and Arthur were arguing and insulting one-another as usual whilst Maki and Iris were chatting and talking about what they were planing to do for the weekend. Meanwhile Hinawa was in Obi's Office talking.

"So she finally Graduated from the Academy?"

"It seems so". Obi was holding a folder with the Picture of a Black-haired girl with a Huge patch on her cheek, until the alarm blared loudly. Hinawa and Obi both looked at each-other and ran out of the office.

"Everyone get ready! 30 seconds!", Obi ordered. "YES SIR!", They yelled back as they raced to get dressed.

"Dammit you think they could've given me directions", I huffed with a Frustrated expression.

I've been wandering the streets searching for this Cathedral for what felt like ages now and it didn't help I wasn't familiar with this entire area either.

'Maybe I should just ask somebody?', I thought. As I was about to counting walking a Woman's voice came over A Speaker.

"A Infernal has broken out! Special Fire Brigade Vehicles are being deployed, All citizen Vehicle's need to move aside!", She yelled.

Not a second later A Vehicle raced by me and I caught a glimpse of the Number 8 painted on its side.

I turned and saw them racing to a thick Black Smoke accumulating in the air. 'Am I really gonna do this?...Yes Yes I am', I thought to myself as I started chasing the speeding vehicle while running past fleeing terrified citizens.
