Chapter 011

It was the middle of the Night and Everyone was I asleep, expect for me. I was laying face up in my bed looking up at the ceiling, the only noises present was Shinra and Arthur's loud snoring.

Maybe The reason I couldn't fall asleep was because of my Major headache from Burns smacking me into the ground earlier or maybe it was my burns still throbbing with pain who knows?.

'Ugh!!!! Why can't I fall asleep', I thought infuriated.

'I'm always able to fall asleep, I freakin LOVE sleep so why can't I now?'. I sighed in frustration and finally a idea came into my head.

I got up and slowly tiptoed out the door, as to make sure I didn't wake anyone up.

I strolled down the Long corridor, making my way to Their Phone booth. Once I got there I picked up the phone and dialed in a phone number.

'Please pick up Please pick up', I thought as the line ringed.

"Hello?", Someone finally spoke on the other end. "Hey Maki!", I said chirped, happy she picked up. "Oh Hey, Ren what's up?", She asked.

"Nothing I just wanted to talk to you since I can't fall asleep", I told her.

"No kidding, Shinra told me about your beat down from Captain Burns, Are you okay?, He said you were bleeding", She said sounding worried.

"Yeah I'm okay, I've had worst trust me".

Their was a brief pause in the conversation.
"So what about you? What're you doing up so late at night?", I asked her.

"Working late again. Since you three have left for the mission it's just been me and Lieutenant Hinawa talking care of the paper-work, but mostly me so I was just about to do to bed before you called", She explained to me.

"Oh...I'm sorry I didn't know", I apologized.

I could hear her laugh at the other end of the line.

"It's fine! Honestly.. it was nice to hear your voice again", She said.

"..Yeah..it was nice to hear yours again too".

I yawned and Maki heard it.

"Well seems someone is finally tired, did my amazing enchanting voice help you?", She joked. I rolled my eyes, "yeah totally helped", I answered.

"Well Goodnight", I said to her.

"Night Ren".

"Night Maki". I hanged up the phone and stood there at the booth for a bit, feeling my heart beating a bit faster then before.

'Maybe her voice was enchanting I'm beat all of assuden', I thought. I walked quietly away, back into the room and went to sleep.

Everyone was in the Cafeteria together, eating breakfast. I was just minding my own business and I hadn't noticed Shinra was trying to ask me a question.

"Hey Ren can you hear me?", He said finally getting my attention.

"Hmm?, Yeah what's up", I said looking at him. "Takeru asked us all a Question on why we decided to Join the Force, your the only one who hasn't answered", He explained to me.

"Oh Well-", before I could tell him the Clicking of heels echoed in the Cafeteria and we all looked, and saw Tamaki.

"Its time for morning assembly, So hurry up and finish eating!", She shouted to us with a bossy tone.
