Chapter 33

It was a very sunny day. Mew and God were relaxing in the school backyard, where they used to hide when they skipped class without the teacher noticing.

"Fuck! It's so hot today!", Mew muttered while he was laying on the grass, covering his face with a hat.

"Here!", God threw him a bottle of water. Swiftly, Mew caught it without even bothering to look. "Wow! Your skill improved. At least you're good in something...", God mocked him.

"How could you be so annoying!", Mew scolded him in annoyance. "Where's Art?"

"I don't know. Why? You missed him already?"

"What is wrong with you and your head?", Mew took his hat off his face and threw it to God's face.

"Ouch!", God winced in pain as he threw the hat back to Mew, "Don't blame me. You guys really look like lovers in my eyes..."

"Do I look like a gay to you?"

God scoffed, "Gender has nothing to do with loving someone, okay? You and your narrow-minded prejudice!"

"If you don't know where Art is, just shut the fuck up and let me sleep! You talk too much!"

"Why don't you text him?"

"Why should I?"

"Oh fuck you, Mew Davis! I'll text him!", God swore at Mew with a low voice, almost inaudible.

"I still can hear you, bastard! Do you think I'm deaf!?"

Before God can answer, he saw Jen was walking towards their way. How could she be here? While they were there, usually no one dared to approach that place, no one except Art.

"P'Mew, P'God...", Jen greeted them.

God smiled at her as he nodded, "Hey..."

Mew opened his eye to peek. He saw Jen was standing there, smiling at him as she waved.

"P'Mew...", she greeted him.

Mew scoffed disappointedly to see her instead of Art. He didn't say anything and just put his hat back to cover his face. Jen was a bit disappointed to see what Mew did. God could see that clearly.

"Don't mind him. He's an asshole", God chuckled.

Jen shook her head and smiled.

"What are you doing here? Did you get lost or something?"

Jen shook her head again, "No. I was just passing by and I remembered Art always hang out here with you guys. So I thought I would drop by to say hi..."

"Very nice of you", God nodded as he smiled.

"Hey!", Mew took his hat off his face all in a sudden and looked at Jen, "Do you know where Art is?"

Jen was quiet for a moment. She was happy at first when Mew talked to her, but then her facial expression changed when Mew asked for Art instead of opening a better conversation with her.

"I... I don't know. I haven't seen him today. We were supposed to go to Math class together. But I couldn't contact him..."

Mew stood up from his position and cleaned up his pants as he scoffed, "Useless..."

Before God and Jen could say anything, Mew walked away, just like that. God shook his head in amusement. He felt sorry for Jen actually.

"Sorry", God apologized to Jen on behalf of Mew, "He is actually an impolite foul-mouthed bastard. Just don't mind him..."
