- Misaki's P.O.V -
It's been a while since I've seen both Asuna and Kirito. For the past few weeks, Kisaka and I have been training like crazy. So far, she's level fifty-two, and I'm level seventy-seven. We both beat the 2nd floor boss, just the two of us. Kisaka got the Last Hit bonus and earned a new pair of armor, called "Sky Haven Armor" or something like that. It has a pair of angel wings on it, and is pure white, but it's a bit too revealing for my liking. She told me that it enhances her strength and her speed. To be honest, I'm really proud of her.
Then, we both beat the twenty-first floor boss together. This time I got the Last Hit bonus and I, myself, got a new pair of armor. "Dawnstar" Armor, that's what it's called. It increases my speed and accuracy, and resists forty five percent of damage dealt on it. On the twenty-fifth floor, Kisaka decided that she'll rest for this battle, so I solo beat it and got something that I didn't expect. Two new items from the Last Hit bonus thingy. A matching sword for my armor, also called "Dawnstar", and a bow called "Cloud", just Cloud. It's a weird name but I know why they called it that. The thing is crazy light! And if you leave it there in mid-air, it floats, just like a cloud. with an unlimited amount of arrows. I asked Kisaka if she had the ability to use it but she doesn't. I asked around and it turns out the this skill is only given to the player with the highest critical hit accuracy percentage. Mine is ninety-six percent. I guess that's why.
Kisaka and I were walking trough the middle of town on the forty-sixth floor. We're both wearing our casual clothes, since we're safe here and there's no real use to having our armor on. I've maxed out my agility skill just yesterday, and I hope that no one has found out. I hear that both Kirito and Asuna are going to try to beat the boss on the fiftieth floor. Many people have tried, and failed. I can't believe that those two are just going to try to beat it themselves. I know it may seem like something I would do, but I'm not that crazy. Kisaka tugs on my arm and points at two people. I see a familiar light brown haired girl wearing the Knights of the Blood Oath guild armor, Asuna. Feh, I hate that guild. Then right next to Asuna is Kirito. Kisaka pulls me towards them, shouting, "Kirito! Asuna!" The two turn around.
Kisaka stops and basically pounces onto Kirito, hugging him. He staggers back a bit, shocked. Asuna smiles at me and I smile back, but I sense that she doesn't like my presence. Kisaka lets go of Kirito. "I hear that you guys are going to beat the boss on the fiftieth floor! Can we help?" Wait, what?
This takes them by surprise. "H-help?" Asuna stutters. My little sister nods her head smiling brightly.
"Yeah!" She says, rather loudly. "Help, we can help you guys!"
Kirito rubs the back of his next awkwardly. "Uhh, okay sure." What? Does he not want us to help him? 'We'll meet in front of the boss room on the fiftieth floor tomorrow, okay?" Kisaka and I nod our okays and we part. She mumbles something to herself. Something about Asuna.
After a few hours of training we both level up again. Kisaka throws her arm up and punches the air. "Woo hoo! Level fifty-three!" I laugh and fall on my back onto the soft grass underneath me. Kisaka tosses her sword aside and crashes down next to me. "Ugh, I can't wait for tomorrow..." she points up at the sky. "It's so pretty."
I agree, just like the first day, we 're left watching the sunset, the sky is a light orange, fading into a gold color. She sighs and hits my face with the back of her hand. "Oops." I laugh and lightly hit the side of her head.
"You know what would be awesome?" I ask her. Kisaka sits up and looks at me.
"What?"
"If they had instruments in here, I miss playing the piano." I say folding my hands together under my head, using it a a pillow. My little sister purposely falls down onto my stomach, knocking all of the air in my lungs out. I shoot up and she rolls from my stomach to my lap, laughing her face off. "You could've killed me!" She shakes her head and laughs even more. I poke her nose with my index finger.
"Boop."
My head turns to the right, scanning the area. The people in SAO have gone crazy, killing other players, becoming criminals. Some are just hanging around here, giving up on beating the game, giving up on the life outside of this virtual world. I see two other figures lying down under a tree. My vision focuses on them and I spot both Kirito and Asuna lying there together. A branch snaps right in front of me and I turn my head and face the sound. A deer is standing there, watching us. I pull out my bow and aim, in a split second one of my arrows is in one of the deer's eyes. The sound of the animal dying makes Kisaka cringe a bit. I hear footsteps approaching us from the right. I instantly unsheathe another arrow and draw back the bow, aiming. Kirito and Asuna stop in their tracks, hands up as if their surrendering. I lower my bow.
"Sorry." I mumble, sheathing my bow.
"It's alright." Kirito said. "Where'd you get that bow?"
"I got it from solo beating the boss on floor twenty five." I tell him. "I guess I'm the only one with the skill that allows me to use it."
"That's really cool."
"Yeah." Kisaka sits up.
"Can we go get something to eat?" She begs me. "Please? I'm hungry." I roll my eyes and laugh at her appetite. Her stomach is like a bottomless pit, I swear. I stand up and grab my sword, Kisaka does the same, she's just about to walk off but I stop her and look at Kirito and Asuna. "Do you guys wanna come?"
The two share a look. "Yeah, sure." Asuna says. "I'll pay." But I shake my head.
"No, I'll pay. My treat to you two before tomorrow's battle." We all walk off in the direction of town, Kirito and Asuna are having a quiet conversation behind Kisaka and I. We share a look, she sighs and shakes her head. I shrug and exhale in return.
