Savior - Kirito x OC

Chapter Twenty

      -Misaki's P.O.V-

        "Hey, it's okay." Kirito says as he puts his arm around me while we're being escorted out of the coliseum.  I lay my head on his shoulder as we walk. I can't believe this, how did this happen?

        "I can't believe I lost." I say quietly . Kirito pulls me closer to him. 

        "At least you're the only person who's gotten his health down that far." He says, trying to cheer me up. He looks down at me and smiles, I give him a small one in return. ''Asuna isn't very happy about your loss too." 

        "Yeah, I know." I say. Only because she doesn't want to share her role in the guild with someone like me. Kumaru and Tadashi and Rei catch up to the two of us. This battle has gotten a big crowd, since many people wrote about this in the game's news. We're on floor forty-two, and my home's on floor fifty-four. Maybe I can just fight to get my mind off of things. Tadashi suggests it before I can even open up my mouth to speak. We all agree to it and teleport over to floor sixty-seven. Over the past day people have already cleared each floor with ease, but on this one, every player's having difficulty finding the boss. 

        We're waling around the under ground dungeon, clearing the way. "So, Kisaka and I talked about this for a while, and I'd like your opinions on this." I say and my words catch everyone's attention, even Rei's.

        "Go on." Tadashi says. 

        "Well, you know how we dream in the game when we sleep? Are those dreams real, or just game-generated? Kisaka says that they're real, and I do too, I just want to know what you guys think."

        Kirito answers first. "I think they're real. I mean, why else would I be seeing you and Sugu in them?" I blushed when he said that he dreams about me and I look away, trying to hide it. 

        "I agree." Tadashi says.

        Kumaru clears her throat. "Yes, those dreams are real. If they we're game-generated, then I would've been the one monitoring, watching them, as creepy as that sounds, and I've never done anything like that in the past two years. Also, Kirito, you said that you dreamed about Suguha, you're younger sister, correct?" Kirito nods. "Well, if it was game-generated then it wouldn't include anything about the life outside of the game." She says, and I think about that as we walk. Kumaru does prove a point. 

        "So, they're real." I confirm and Rei barks as if he's agreeing with me. Rei runs up ahead of us, barking as he goes, Tadashi chases after him. 

        Rei, wait up!" He shouts waving his arms all over the place as he runs. I laugh and Kirito and I chase after them. Kumaru has no problem keeping up with us. Soon, we're standing with most of the members of the Knights of the Blood Oath, my guild. Heathcliff greets me and Asuna's there with Yui. 

        "Hello, Misaki." Heathcliff says, smiling cockily. "I was just about to message you." He closes the menu up. I guess he was really going to send me a message. 

        "What are you doing here?" I ask him, surprised. 

        "We were notified of someone finding the boss on this floor. Apparently, they've lost many lives and called us here to inspect it, or fight it." He explains and then I notice there are a bunch of other guilds here. I notice Klein's spiky red hair and he hugs me. 

        "Oi, nice to see you again, Misaki!" He says and he squeezes the life out of me. He lets go and I take in a deep breath, everyone laughs. Kirito laces his fingers through mine and I smile at our intertwined hands. Most of the game's top guilds are here, including Klein's. I look around once more, there are dozens of people. 

        "Is this boss really that frightening?" I ask Heathcliff and he nods his head.

        "Yes, you've noticed all of the people we've gather up to aid us with this battle he says and I sigh. 

        "So, aren't we going to go in or something?" Heathcliff nods his head again and then pushes the doors open. The room's dark, and dimply lit. I carefully walk inside and see a huge gaping hole in the center of the room. I step a bit closer and Kirito pulls me back. Right as he does so, the boss shoots up and out of the hole. It's huge, and has at least four health bars. The boss looks a bit robotic-like and is mostly a deep-purple color. It has glowing red claws and robotic-like wings. It flaps them and stares at us with it's glowing red eyes. I look at it's name. 

        Brynhildr.

        I lets out a cry and swoops down towards us. We all scream and run back but Heathcliff stops us and the boss flies upward. "Stop messing around!" I shout at him and it responds by letting out another cry. Everyone looks at me, angry. "what?" I say and Heathcliff raises his sword up, we all let out a battle cry and charge towards Brynhildr. But it slashes at us and in one hit, at least twenty people shatter and vanish into thin air.
