Savior - Kirito x OC

Chapter Eighteen

      -Misaki's P.O.V-

        All four of us including Tadashi's dog spawn in a gazebo, in the middle of nowhere. We looks around and Kumaru doesn't look as puzzled as the rest of us. She pulls me out of the gazebo and lets go of my hand. she jump from every little floating piece of tiny land and makes it to the other side. She waves me over to her and I look down, big mistake. It's airborne I can't see land below me. I look back up and Kumaru and gives me and encouraging smile. I hop onto the first one and inhale and close my eyes for a moment. I open them and leap onto the other floating platform. This is actually really easy. I turn around and gesture for Tadashi to follow. He looks at me, unsure of this but then leaps onto the platform behind me. This floor is different, yet beautiful. Tadashi and I finally make it to the other side and Kumaru doesn't waste anytime. She takes my hand again and runs away. 

        "Slow down, would ya?" Tadashi yells far, far behind us. Kumaru shakes her head to herself and I laugh. She pulls me up a mountain and I'm trying so hard to keep up with her and catch my breath. This girl has way too much stamina. We stop at the peak of the mountain and she laughs and claps her hands together. She points down below us and it's breath taking. Tadashi catches up with as and his dog follows close behind. Kumaru points to his dog.

        "What's his name?" She asks him. tadashi glances back at his dog then over at Kumaru and I.

        "Rei." He answers and Kumaru basically hugs his dog, who kisses her face over and over again. After a while Kumaru drags me down the mountain and to the entrance of the little town, city, place, whatever. She lets go of my hand at the entrance and I struggle to catch my breath. I look up at Kumaru who's skipping away from me. Tadashi runs over to her and glances back at me, smiling. Many NPC's roam this area, and I think it's the only place where it's been inhabited by them I start to walk and many NPC's greet me. Tadashi and Kumaru are talking about something with Rei running around their feet. Other players must be spawning in already and Tadashi, Kumaru, Rei, and I decide to explore a bit. We find a blacksmith shop that's up for sale, maybe Lizbeth would like to buy it, who knows? I notice that my sword is still in my hand so I sheathe it and look up. There's a castle up there that looks worthy enough to visit. Other players have already made it here and are walking around in awe like the rest of us. Kumaru tugs on my arm and points at Yui who's with Kirito and Asuna. Kirito looks at me and smiles, I walk over to him and wrap my arms around him. I sneak a peek at Asuna who's staring at Tadashi, he is eye candy, that's a fact so I'm  not really bothered by her checking out my childhood friend.

        "Misaki," Kirito says as he pulls away. "Who's that?"

        I follow his gaze to Tadashi who walks over to us. "That's Yumitagana Tadashi, a friend of mine." I say and Kirito holds his hand out for Tadashi to shake.

        'You're Kirito, right?" Tadashi says as he shakes hands with him. Kirito nods and Asuna doesn't look away. Yui clings to Asuna like a child clinging to her mother. I smile at that. So cute. We all walk around for a bit and come to a conclusion that this floor, is the most beautiful out of all of those that we've seen so far. Asuna checks her messages and her facial expression looks worried.

        "What's wrong, mamma?" Yui asks. Wait, mamma? I leave it alone and stand by Asuna, reading the message with her. It seems that the leader of her clan wants to speak with her and I asap. She closes up the menu and turns to me. "We've got to go, Heathcliff's waiting for us. And he doesn't seem very happy about it." I nod my head and Kumaru doesn't let go of my hand that she just took as usual. I motion to her.

        "Can she come?"

        Asuna shurgs. "I'm not sure..."

        I look down at Kumaru and smile. "Well, she's coming  with us anyway." I pull out my transporter and so does Asuna. "What floor again?"

        "Umm the fifty-fifth." She teleports and so do Kumaru and I. We spawn in front of the Knights of the Blood's base. Asuna looks at me reassuringly and speaks to the guards posted at the entrance. They nod and let us in. We walk through the endless large hallways and stop in front of a pair of wooden french doors. The guards posted there open it for us and we walk in. Heathcliff, the guild leader, sits behind his desk, hands folded, and stares at me coldly. I shift under his uncomfortable gaze. 

        "Ah, Misaki... Welcome." He finally says and his expression softens. "It's an honor to finally meet the famous Dawn Breaker."

        "The honor is mine." I say and bow, Asuna looks at me all weird-like. I laugh a bit and she smiles. maybe she isn't so bad after all. The guards close the door behind us and Kumaru tightens her grip on my hand, which hurts... A lot. I don't say anything but Asuna and I are both crazy nervous. Heathcliff stands up from his seat which screeches as it gets pushed back. 

        ''I have an offer for you, Misaki." Asuna looks at, unsure of what's going on. " I would like for you to work side by side with my sub-leader, Asuna." Asuna and I share a look, she's as surprised as I am about this whole offer. I look down at Kumaru who subtly shakes her head, not enough for Heathcliff to notice. I try to figure out why he would want someone like me for such a high position. I sigh and look back up at Heathcliff. He shoots me a mean look and I stagger back a bit. What's wrong with this guy?
