"Babe Wake up" I heard Alicia say but I wasn't trying to get up.

"Chris ! "

"Yessssssss bae I'm up. "

"Get up Mason just called to see if you were with me. Kelci is in labor. Come on and get up."

"Oh shit. yeah come on. " I jumped up .

When were walking out . we ran into Alicia's mom.

"Alicia .... " she looked at Alicia then at me ." And Chris what are you doing this early in the morning?"

"Ma, can we talk later ? We have to go like now. Kelci is in labor ."

"Did you spend the night here Chris ?" Her facial expression changed . she ignored Alicia.

I just looked at her then back at Alicia.

"Yes ? No ?" She continued.

"Yes Ma'am ."

Alicia looked at me so fast, her neck almost broke.

I mean was I supposed to lie to her . it was pretty obvious that I spent the night. my truck isn't outside. I'm still dressed in party attire and she knows I don't dress like this on the regular.

"Alicia are you out of your damn mind ?"

Oh shit.

"No, but we didn't do anything Ma , but we gotta go."

"You're not going anywhere, dammit. you think it's ok to lay up in my house with a boy in the bed I paid for ? "

"No, but mama -"

"But mama my ass. Chris I don't appreciate it on your behalf either it's one thing to have you come over and I allow to go into her room to hang out. But spending the night especially when I didnt even know you were here is disrespectful towards my house. "

"I'm sorry Mrs. Jones. Last night was really long and stressful and I had no way home. We came in , watched a movie ,ate popcorn and went to sleep. and now we're on the way to the hospital. I'm sorry I stayed over with out your permission. it won't happen again."

She starred at me for a minute then back to Alicia.

"Ok go ahead and Alicia I'll see you later." she gave her the look.

When we got in the car it was silent for a minute.

"Your mom is something serious . I saw you shaking " I laughed

"Shut up. We almost died back there" she joked.

"Well I know how to get out of things with adults but smooth talking so just let me handle all future problems,ok ?"

She kissed my cheek.

"I love you boy."

"I love you too girl."

After we got to the hospital, we went to the front desk to find were Kelci's room was and headed there. As sion as we gt off the elevator we saw my aunt Tracey and Dison sitting in the waiting area.

"Hey baby." she got up and hugged me.

"Hey auntie. Wassup Lil man." I dapped Dison.

"Man where you been? I think there in there hurting my mom! " Dison said a little to amped.

"Noooo that's just how it goes. the same thing happened when she was pregnant with you."

"So it's the baby doing that to her ? I did that to her too?" He put his face in his palms in disbelief . Like he was sad.

"I gotta tell her I'm sorry." he said and stormed away towards the room where he was knocked over in excitement by Mason coming out the Delivery room .

"Dison what's wrong ?"

"Is my mom ok? Tell her I'm sorry I made her cry when she was pregnant with me."

Mason Laughed.

"Man, She's ok. you wanna see your sister? "

"Yeah!"

"Come on Chris." Mason called me.

We walked in the room where Kelci was knocked the fuck out. all the nurses and doctors were gone and it was just us in the room.

Mason walked over and grabbed the baby and let Dison hold her while sitting in the rocking chair.

"She looks like mama."

"Yeah she does. exactly like her." I added .

Hours later Mason wanted us to go home because Kelci wouldn't be released til tomorrow Dison was going with my aunt.

Alicia dropped me off around 7pm. I showered cleaned up the house and did some laundry, so Alani could come home to a nice house. I was in the middle of unloading the dish washer when the door bell rang and I kinda already knew it was Cacie. I opened the door and she was standing there and walked herself in.

"Look Cacie, I can't keep shit up with you. Me and Alicia are back together ." I said closing the door.

She just starred at me.

"Wowwwww, yall back together? It's been what a week?" She said in a sarcastic tone.

"She was only tripping because she missed her period and thought she was pregnant "

She chuckled and I looked at her crazy.

"Well I'm pregnant ..."

"The fuck you is ." I spat back quick as hell. "The hell is you talking about ? We had sex like 4days ago, don't play me."

Shit just escalated fast.

"I'm kidding Chris. I'm on birth control "

"Oh okay well what do you want.?"

"I need your help ."

"Man Cacie last night your ass was going off on me and now you need my help."

"I'm over that now can you shut up and help me?"

"Ok , what is it ? "

"My ex keeps stalking me and he won't leave me alone. Text after text , phone calls ."

"Okkkk so how am I supposed to help with that .

"I need you to pretend to be my boyfriend for like a night tomorrow night when I go too this birthday dinner for a mutual friend of ours ."

"Girl , what the fuck ? No"

"Cmon Chris. He'll back off if he sees you and I look serious. I just want him to leave me alone and maybe go back to his baby's mama. He's crazy."

"Cacie that's sounds ridiculous. I have a girlfriend . I can't. "

"Does your girlfriend know we had sex?"

"Yo, you're not about to try and use that against me."

"Ok well can you just help me please . then I'll leave it alone ok?"

I stood there for a minute. Fuck, Alicia is gonna kill me if she finds out.

"Ok " I sighed. "What time is the dinner?"

"Yay! It's at 7:30, pick me up at 7. " and she walked out.

I'm so fucked right now.
