I couldn't believe Freddie was standing right before me, still looking fine as ever. I started to call out his name to get his attention until the driver of the Monte Carlo stepped out of their car. Sam greeted Freddie with a dap and a smile, as Boogie exited from the other side and greeted him the same. I grabbed Athena out the swing and placed her in the stroller. She went into a full-fledge attitude because she didn't want to get out of the swing.

"Shhhhhh." I tried calming her down by bouncing her on my lap, but she wasn't having it. I dug into her diaper bag and pulled out a bottle I made before we left the house and handed it to her. She sipped on that as I watched Freddie talk to Rocko's sons. They laughed passing a blunt around like it was any other day.

The picture of Vixen and him suddenly popped in my head and the thirst for him went away, "You want to go see daddy?" I turned her stroller in their direction. I wanted Freddie to know that I knew about him and Vixen and that he was making a big mistake fucking with her.

I was taking a huge risk going over there but I didn't care.

"Well, look what we have here." I walked up to the trio, smoothly. They were still passing around blunt and cracking jokes on one another. "It's been a while." I smiled as I intentionally removed my hoodie, showing the bruises I still had on my honey brown face.

"Damnnnnn what happen to you?" Boogie covered his mouth like he was shocked. "Looks like you got into a fight with someone."

"No shit,  Sherlock." I gave him an evil eye, "Plus, we all know who I got into a fight with, let's not play stupid, but don't worry about me I'm fine." I smiled. Bringing my attention to Freddie, "Nothing to say, Fredrick? I heard you got a little girlfriend. Congratulations on being the proud owner of a cum bucket." I applaud him. "Thought you didn't want to mess with those anymore?"

Boogie coughed behind him trying to cover up the laugh that wanted to escape, Sam nudged him in the arm before he got chewed out by Freddie who already appeared to be annoyed by my presence.

Freddie rubbed his goatee, a bad habit I noticed he did when he got caught up. "I don't know what you're talking about, Neveah." He responded tucking his hands inside his pockets. "I've been handling business, you know shooting moves." He smiled, confidently.

"It's cool. Just tell Vixen that I said hi and I'll catch up with her later."

"Why you tripping? you didn't want to be with me anymore, remember?"

"You don't believe that?"

"I do believe it because for the last few months you've been saying how you can't handle this life but you sure can enjoy the benefits of it though. I get it---you want better for you and Athena."

"You chose me! Now, let's get that part clear!" I pointed my finger in his face.  "I was minding my own business, so don't act like I was chasing you to be apart of it, and not only did I want a better life for me and our daughter. I always wanted a better life for you as well."

He nodded his head in agreement, "And I'm working towards that better life. I asked you to give me a year and you couldn't do that. I asked you to move in with me, you didn't want to do that." He argued.

"I didn't want to move in with you was because every time you get a new spot, some bullshit always went down. The last thing I need is somebody coming in there trying to kill one of you and my baby gets caught up in the bullshit." I wasn't backing down from Freddie.

"So having her around Rocko is better?"

"No! but I can keep her safe. I know what I'm dealing with when it comes to Rocko. Can't say the same for them." I glared at Sam and Boogie.
