Hadin.

As I sit at my normal barstool at 'The Roost' I am still drinking my issues away in whiskey. I know she hates me. I know she wishes I would have stayed in Ireland. I know I fucked up with everything I did in Dublin. The alcohol, drugs and multiple woman. I can't even think. Once I am done with my fourth glass I throw down a twenty on the bar. I walk out of The Roost. I turn to walk to the left towards my truck when something catches my attention. I stop and turn to see a blonde curly haired girl leaning against the wall of the Roost. She is wearing a purple shirt with a black coat and black leggings and heels.

"Hello Hadin." She sings.

"Paige. What are you doing here?" I ask her.

"Would you believe it if I said I missed you too much?" She asks me.

"Paige you shouldn't be here." I tell her.

"Why? Because of Sara. You aren't together. So, what would it matter?" she asks me.

"Because I don't want you here." I state.

"You loved me once. Remember?" She asks me as I start walking away.

"Barely." I state.

"I don't buy it. I know you remember how much we loved each other." She states walking behind me.

"It doesn't matter because I hate you. Especially after what you did." I tell her.

"After what I did?" She laughs. "What about what you did Hadin James? Does she know everything that happened between us?" She asks me. I freeze. "I'll take that as a no. What happens if I tell her? She wouldn't love you at all anymore. Would she?" She sings.

"What do you want?" I turn asking her getting in her face.

"I want what you took from me. I want my life back." She demands.

"You know I can't do that." I tell her. "And what happened wasn't my fault." I add.

"I know what you've told her. About the car accident. How long did it take you to come up with that lie? Because you know damn well that what you told her wasn't what happened to me or our baby." She snaps at me.

"Leave Sara alone. If you come near her, I will kill you." I tell her as I walk away leaving her on the corner. I climb into my truck and drive off to Jace and Ashlynn's apartment. As I pull into their apartment I look down at my phone. Not a text or phone call from Sara. I really fucked up. I get out of my truck and walk up the stairs to their apartment door. Ashlynn opens the door on the first knock.

"Hadin. Hey. Come in sweetie." She demands as I enter in their apartment.

"Thanks." I smile. I stand in the middle of their apartment as Jace comes around from the kitchen.

"What's wrong?" Jace asks me.

"Paige. She's in town. She is threating to tell Sara about what happened." I tell him.

"What have you told her?" He asks me.

"I told her that Paige and I were in a car accident and that's how everything unfolded." I tell him.

"So you told her a lie then." He blurts out.

"I don't want her to look at me differently when she finds out, what really happened." I tell him.

"What really happened?" Ashlynn asks me. I look down "Sorry I've only heard a little bit about the Paige year." She continues.

"That year I found out Paige was pregnant. So, I wanted her to know where I came from, so I took her to Dublin. The crowd I hung out with during my four years of high school wasn't the best. It was kind of a gang. So when I introduced her to my friends, the head guy, James, he didn't want me to have any distractions and having a baby would be. So he convinced me that I needed to go to a party that night. I was sixteen so I went. Paige was alone in the hotel room. James and another one of my so called friends broke into the hotel room and hurt her. I came to the hotel after everything had happened. I saw the blood on the floor the bed and walls. She was in a pool. I rushed her to the hospital but it was too late the damage done to her made her miscarry the baby. It was my fault. At the party before I passed out. I was saying how much of a mistake being with Paige was and her having this baby. I was saying I wish it would go away." I tell her.

"Oh my god." Ashlynn covers her mouth and puts one hand over her stomach.

"You need to tell Sara. She deserves to know everything." Jace tells me.

"I don't want her to hate me even more then she does." I state.

"And you don't think her finding out from Paige won't make her hate you more?" Jace asks me.

"Wait." Ashlynn stops us. "Where you hanging out with them these past three months?" She asks me. I nod my head yes. "Do they know about Sara?" she asks me.

"Yeah." I say. "but their in Dublin. So I highly doubt they would come all the way to Maine." I state.

"Are you positive about that?" Ashlynn asks me. "Because she was saying that she thought someone was following her and she's been getting threating notes." Ashlynn tells me.

"Are you sure it's not just Connor?" I ask.

"She says that when Connor would leave her notes and stuff he'd sign it with an x. These weren't even signed." Ashlynn states.

"What kind of stuff is being left or said?" I ask her.

"Black roses. Notes. She didn't go into detail." Ashlynn states.

"Do you think it might be Paige?" Jace asks me.

"She wants Sara to hate me. I don't think she has the patients to do the stalking thing first." I state. "I'll call my friend in Dublin, he got out of that lifestyle and keeps an eye on the group. See if I can find anything out." I tell them.

"Do you need a place to crash?" Jace asks me.

"Did Sara sell my penthouse?" I ask.

"Nope. It's still there she wouldn't go into it after she found the letter you left her." Jace tells me.

"Okay. I'll be there." I state as I walk out of their apartment. Would James do this? Would he really go to this extent to get me to stay in his 'bad boy life'? I get into my truck and drive away to the place I used to love to go because she'd be there. As I pull into my same old parking spot, I turn off my truck and enter in the lobby. The door man nods his head at me as if I had never left. I get into the elevator and wait for the doors to open. I enter in my penthouse and see nothing has changed. Unexpectedly. That's what kills me. I walk into my kitchen and grab the whiskey out of the fridge. I walk over to my couch and sit down as I take out my phone. I pull up a video I took of her.

"Hadin stop it" She laughs as I sit on her lap.

"Nope not until you say it." I demand.

"Why do I have to say it on camera?" She asks me.

"Because. I want to have it forever." I tell her. She laughs. Her face getting red.

"I love you Hadin James." She tells me.

I shut off my phone and take another drink of the whiskey. I try not to think about what she might be doing in New York.
