It was a good one, we went to the zoo. It was about two weeks away from our confessions.

"Hey Elliot, sorry I'm late. First date and all, and I'm late.", she apologized.
"Don't be sorry." I assured her. "C'mon lets go." We walked our way to the zoo. I felt terrible to not take a car, but I felt as if it wasn't needed, being the zoo was only 1 1/2 blocks away.
"I feel really awful making you walk. I mean, like-"
"Don't worry! I like it. It's different, like this is the first time I've been to the zoo for a first date." She sounded genuinely excited, maybe it was to boost my confidence, I don't know but i continued walking.
"Wanna race? Make it awesome...er!", Adelaide jumped up.
"Alright." I shrugged. Adelaide darted before I even knew it "Hey! You didn't even say go!" I shouted at her. She stopped to turn give me the finger, and than took off, and I followed.

We stood at the entrance of the zoo panting and laughing. "Betcha you haven't ran on a first date either, ey?" I cocked an eyebrow.
"You got that right." She smiled.
We headed towards the zoo, walking in.
"So where to first?" Adelaide squinted up at me, blocking the sun's rays.
"Let's go to the tigers!" I exclaimed. "Come on."
I walked a bit to fast, Adelaide was paced a little faster, trying to keep up with me. "Don't you need a map or something?" She chuckled.
"Nope,", I popped the 'p'. "Got the whole park up here." I tapped my skull.
She laughed a small laugh. Than we continued walking, around.

We learned more about each other than we did in our 3 months of friendship. I learned that she actually wanted a pet chimp, and that she believed in strongly of the fact that chimps are completely different from monkeys. She learned that I was "a child stuck inside a 6 ft senior.", her words. It went well, though. No 'second first date' thing.

That was a bit short but... yeah...
