"Did you like the movie?" I asked Adelaide as we left the theatre.
"Yeah i guess." She sounded discontent.
"You don't sound like it." I mumbled.
We arrived to my car and when we entered, Adelaide heavily sighed.
"What's wrong?" I furrowed my eyebrows.
"Honestly, Elliot. I didn't like the movie." She stung me.
"Oh," I stated
"It's that we only go on basic dates. Zoos, parks, arcades, movies. Will we ever go somewhere like, where couples go? We might as well just be friends."
"I'm sorry, I mean, I thought you'd like it." I hung my head low.
"Well, I don't it's fulfilling. The only thing that extinguishes us from being friends are kisses!" She exclaimed.
"I'm sorry, truly. Just tell me where you want to go I'm just not really experienced."
"Maybe take me out to dinner, go shopping, a drive to Manhattan." She harshly suggested
"That's too expensive for my budget, and you know that." I reminded her the minorities.
"Oh my god. You know, j-just drop me off at Nadia's house, I need to think." She stuttered out of anger, and leaned on the window, looking out. I heavily sighed and agreed silently as I pulled out of my parking space.
