Almost, two years ago I decided I wanted to spend my life with Adelaide. But i was only 19. Now reaching 21, after saving up and countless thoughts I decided I would propose. On the week before my birthday I scheduled everything.

We were at a group hangout with everyone. Cooper and his girlfriend, Allison. Ethan who came alone, Nadia, who came out to us in June, with her girlfriend Wilma and Carissa brought her cousin Sage & Sage brought her boyfriend, Clyde. This time I let Adelaide set up the date, knowing she would choose something far more fantastic than I could ever. Honestly, I was thinking of doing it out of the blue. Wilma, helped me with the whole thing. She told me how to do it. Take her out, take her to the place of the first kiss, first "i love you", or first intercourse. I went with the place of our first love confession. Considering, my dad's apartment is one, unavailable to reach, & two, not really romantic.

"Remember that time when Cooper fell off the golf cart, while trying to impress Allison?", Adelaide was containing in her laughter, trying not to snort out bits of food. We were all laughing, while Cooper hung his head, chuckling.
"Stop laughing, as if you guys haven't any embarrassing moments-", he fakes a cough and in between, mentioned Ethan. He nodded his head towards him.
"Hey! What's wrong with me?" Ethan exclaimed.
"How about that time you tried getting a lip piercing just for Kayla Mark?" Nadia mentioned
"Oh ya," he scrunched his face, "that didn't turn out so well did it?" He let a laugh slip, smirking while shaking his head back.
"Elliot, you're just sitting there, laughing at them, how about you?" Sage included me
"This one," Cooper placed his arm on my shoulder, adding force "has tons." he smiled
"Oh I'd rather not." I admitted, feeling blood rush to my cheeks.
"This one time, you-"
"You're not so perfect either, Carissa." I snapped jokingly
"Yeah, that's right, you girls acting all mighty, that you haven't done anything embarrassing.", Clyde awoke from his slip into oblivion.
"Oh jeez, just stop the conversation!" Wilma said exhausted. "It's like way too late for this crap." She smacked her hand to the table
"Looks like your girl's on her time, Nadia."
Nadia shot Carissa a look that could scare a lion.
"Wilma's right." Addie yawned "It's late & I'm tired as hell, Elli, you ready?"
"Sure, babe. I'll pay a fourth, the rest is on you young men, good night!" I got up and helped Adelaide with her jacket and everything else. I slipped my hand into my pocket, feeling the ring. I glanced at Wilma & Nadia and gave a thumbs up and a smile, in which the returned, intertwining their hands and then glancing back at each other, as if to say "hopefully that's us"

"Elliot, babe. You missed a turn."
Adelaide put into my notice.
"I know, I have something for you. Just relax honey." I placed my hand on her thigh, quickly looking into her eyes.
"Okay," she softly whispered in her honey like voice.

Addie gasped as the park came into view.
"Mary Peter Park oh my gosh, Elliot." She leaned closer into the window. "I love you, too." I think I heard come out of her mouth.
I smirked to myself as Adelaide was absorbed into the window.
I halted at a park space and got out to open the door for Adelaide.
As soon as she stepped out, she enveloped me in a hug.
"I remember this place so vividly." I said to her as we walked, hands held together. Your hair was its natural black, and it was in layers. Now you've grown it out, and its half green, matching your eyes." I stopped after ten steps. I kissed her slightly. "Throughout the years I learned something incredible, a way to deal with my fears. To just go ahead. Because once it is done, it's done. And you won't regret not doing it. Like that time when I confessed to you. When I told I love you, when I gave you the promise ring. Now," I slid my hand into my pocket grabbing the ring box and got down on one knee. A gasp came out Adelaide's mouth. "when I ask you to marry me." I opened the box revealing the blue diamond that took me two years to get. "Will you marry me?" I asked. She was breathless. Holding in tears, and shaking from the tsunami of emotions, she managed a nod. I got up and hugged her. Holding her tightly & nuzzling my nose into hers, intaking her aroma. "I will." she whispered. To her response I caressed her lips with such dedication and love.
