I tapped my fingers impatiently on the cafeteria table on which I was sitting waiting for Clarissa to tell her that I was leaving. She was the only person I needed to tell. Jack didn't need to know. He wasn't important right now. As I chewed on the straw of my juice box Clarissa came in. I stood up and quickly walked towards her.
"Hi!" She said.
"I need to tell you something." I replied.
"Oh okay. Let's sit down first." She chuckled. I nodded and we sat down down at my previous place. She started eating her lunch while I thought of how I should tell her.
"What did you want to tell me?" She asked me a few minutes later.
"I'm leaving." I blurted out.
"What do you mean?" She asked curiously still confused.
"I am moving, Clarissa." I looked down scared of her reaction.
"What?" She exclaimed. "What do you mean?"
"I just want to start afresh. I'm sorry for telling you this so unexpectedly but I have to leave." I murmured still not looking up.
"W-when are you leaving?" She sounded sad. But what did I expect. Wasn't it obvious that if your friend is leaving all of a sudden you won't be sad.
"This weekend."
"So let's make the best out of it. All this week we are spending the whole time together. Plus this Friday there's a party we have to go. You can't say no." I nodded, happy that she wasn't mad.
"I'm sorry." I said once again.
"I swear to god if you say sorry once again I'm not gonna talk to you ever again." I nodded and we spent the rest of the lunch talking and laughing, the moving thing long forgotten. Once the first bell rang I went towards my locker and Clarissa went towards her. While walking my phone signaled I had a message. I took it out of my pocket and saw it was Alex.
'Hey babe. How's your day so far? I miss you.' I smiled at it and started typing before I bumped into someone.
"O-oh sorry." I looked up and regretted instantly. It was Jack.
"Sorry it was my fault." I didn't say anything but just walked towards my locker. I opened it and took out my books before looking back towards the place where I bumped into Jack earlier. He was still there, staring at me. I quickly walked away not looking there.
I sat down in my class which happened to be my least favorite one, History. I rolled my eyes and stared out to window as the teacher started talking. I was so bored already.
Once the bell rang, I was glad it was gonna be my last class of the day. As I entered, I remembered I forgot to reply to Alex. A few minutes later, Clarissa came in. I was glad we had the last period together. Once I texted him back which was;
'It was fine. How was yours? I miss you too. Can we talk ? I need to tell you something.' I needed to tell him that I was leaving and break up today and it's final. After school. As the day passed by I kept thinking about how I would tell him and also waited for his text which would inform me if I can meet him today or not. On one side I wanted to meet him and on the other I was a coward.
Chapter 12??
I'm so sorry if this is shitty. Honestly I had completely forgotten about this book but I'm gonna start writing again. I promise! Whenever I'll have time I will :)
