"Happy thanksgiving!" My dad yelled. I was nearly halfway down the stairs when he picked me up and spun me around like crazy, and then kissing me on the forehead a billion times. All that time I could not stop laughing.

"I love you!" He said. I laughed again "I love you too." That was definitely a silly but a little bit awkward way to wake up.

My dad was extremely happy this morning singing and dancing, all this cross fit has got into him.

"Smells good mom!" I smiled and walked into the kitchen. "Aww thanks honey. Happy Thanksgiving!" She smiled and engulfed me in a hug. "Your welcome and Happy Thanksgiving. Can't wait to eat!" I said making her laugh.

I had woken up to people already here in the house. Grandma was here, aunt Carlie and cooper. Emmi was in the dining room sitting at the kids table with Tatiana, Brock, and cooper. Tatiana is aunt Candice's daughter. "Hey guys what are you up too?" I asked sitting next to Brock. "Just coloring on the white sheet." Tatiana explained. "Cool, what are you drawing?" I asked.

You know just wanted to keep the conversation going. "I'm drawing a turkey!" She exclaimed. "Awesome!" I said. I took a black piece of chalk from the small tin pan that sat in the middle and started drawing circles until I heard my name.

"Elizabeth, Elizabeth!" My mom yelled. "Yes?" I said running frantically into the kitchen. "Help me mash the potatoes." She said. "Mom you sounded like you burnt yourself." I said. She let out a small laugh and then apologized and then telling me that I needed to mash the potatoes for her.

It was no big deal anyways. Mashed potatoes are my favorite part of Thanksgiving. Oh how soft and fluffy they are. It's like a cloud of fog on your plate.

After I was done with the potatoes, I put the top to the pan on so that they would stay warm until it was time to eat.

Everything smelled so good. The turkey, Aunt Candice made these squash vegetarian things, not exactly sure what they are called but they looked delish, there was stuffing, corn, buttery rolls, salad and so much more. I could not wait to stuff myself.

Plus there was dessert. Aunt Candice makes the best pumpkin spice cakes. Pumpkin is good, but with a little bit of spice it's even better.

Soon the waiting was over, mom pulled out the turkey and grandpatard carved it. Oh my goodness it looked so good I wanted to eat the whole thing in front of everyone their.

After grandpatard was done with the craving mom set out everything else and we got in a line. My plate was filled I couldn't even hold it.

I sat down in between Avia and Emmi, and before thinking about the prayer we were going to say before the meal I looked around the table. I couldn't be thankful for anything else. I've got siblings, cousins, and great parents. What else could I ask for?

'Thank you God for giving me this wonderful family' I thought to myself. I know he's heard me say that billions of times. I don't care. I'm gonna keep on saying it.

"Alright let's pray!" Dad said. "Dear Heavenly Father thank you for giving us this time to be with our family and to love one another. We thank you for Elizabeth and how she's been a great part of our family and how she always will be. We love her very much, just like we love every other child the same way in this family. Thank you thank you thank you for everything. Amen!" Dad concluded. "Amen!" We said in unison .

And now we get to dig in. Finally!

Hey guys so sorry it took so long to update! I hope you guys enjoyed your thanksgiving and all the food.

Thanks for all the reads. Xox
