Living with the shaytards

NYC marathon

Today we're heading to New York City for dad and aunt Carley's marathon. I'm pretty excited to see dad and aunt carley run because they've both been working really hard for this day. I'm especially excited to go to New York City because I've never been their before, of course all my siblings and cousins have and they say it's a really cool place. New York City is supposedly referred to the big apple. I really want to see the difference from the land in Idaho to the land in NYC.

I woke up to my alarm at 5:00 am. Our flight left at 7:00 but I felt that I needed enough time to shower and pack last minute things, which is just what I did.

I threw on dads intro to the vlogs t-shirt. (If you know what I mean) and a pair of genes. After I packed last minute things into my suit case I ran downstairs to meet the rest of my family, who was hurrying to get their things ready. Our ride to the airport was about 30 minutes, but who knew what the traffic was like.

Soon we got to the airport and got our bags checked so that they could go under the plane. After doing that, we headed to our gate and got there just in time for boarding.

After handing the ticket agent our boarding passes we continued to walk into the entrance of the plane. We of course had to give it a special good luck touch before going into the plane. "Elizabeth sit next to me!" Said Emmi. "Me too." Avia smiled, grabbing my hand and pulling me into an isle with three seats. I sat in the middle of the both of them.

This plane ride is about two to three hours so we have a lot of time to sleep or do whatever.

My whole family was sitting pretty close to each other which was good. "Hello ladies and gentlemen welcome aboard to Delta, thank you for choosing to fly with us today." The pilot announced. "Your flight today will be approximately two hours and forty minutes, if there's anything the flight crew can do to make your flight more enjoyable please let them know." He continued. "Thank you for listening and have a wonderful flight." He added before the line to the PA went dead.

The flight crew showed us a short demonstration of instructions that we would need to know incase of emergency on the flight.

During the flight me, Avia, and Emmi watched Frozen, played games and had lots of conversation. "Elizabeth I have to go to the bathroom." Emmi whispered. I nodded and leaned forward to where mom and dad were sitting Infront of us. "Hey dad, me and Emmi are going to the bathroom." I Informed him. "Ok. Don't be long." He said. We went to the bathroom and came back about five minutes later. After another half an hour on the plane we were told that we were descending into New York City.

I looked out of the plane and was excited to see the Statue of Liberty and all the all of the tall buildings.

Soon we got off of the plane and got our bags. It was almost dinner time and of course all of us were hungry.

Once we got to the hotel we were all tired but felt like exploring the streets of New York. It was cool because our hotel was right on the edge of Times Square. The lights shimmered in the darkness and you can hear the noises of the cars and people. We finally found a restaurant to eat at. It was called Paul's, an Italian restaurant that was just down the street from our hotel. The food was delicious I had chicken fettucini and a small ceasar salad.

We paid and left to go to back to the hotel. Dad and aunt Carley had a big day tomorrow and we all needed lots of rest.

I woke up to dads alarm beeping at 6:00 am. I rolled over and closed my eyes for a little bit more because I knew that dad was the one that needed to get ready first. It was about five minutes later when I heard mom stirring around the room and getting ready too. so I got up and went to the mirror on the wall above the desk and started putting on mascara and then going into the bathroom and brushing my hair and teeth. "Morning honey." Said mom giving me a quick kiss on the cheek. "Morning." I smiled finishing my make up and then picking out my ShayCarl shirt and leggings. I was really excited to support dad and Aunt Carley in this race.

After eating a quick breakfast in the lobby we headed out to catch a cab to where the race was located. We wished dad and Aunt Carley good luck in their race and took quick pictures with them before they went to the starting line.

We did have a pretty good view of the race since we were right on the side lines. We heard the gun for the race to start. It seemed like an hour into the race that dad, and Aunt Carley had passed where we were standing and waiting. "Go dad!" We yelled. "Go mommy!" Cooper yelled. We all cheered them on and hoped that they would get the place and time that they want.

Heyyyy guys!! I finally fixed my Wattpad account just in time for a new chapter. I'm wishing Shay, Carley and Ron (I know he wasn't in this chapter) good luck in the marathon today. Thank you for being patient with me! Oh and I wanted to put all of the kids/family In this chapter because I thought it would be fun to add their points of view.
